How to become a morning lifter

I did it for years. 4am wake up, protein shake, brush and pee, go to gym. Shower - eat some breakfast - go through your day. I had to be ar work at 0630 until TBD, so I was up at 4am religiously. Honestly a good workout early will make your whole day better
I'm hoping after a week or two I will start to feel more awake when I walk out of the gym. Looking forward to it.

Jay, you were fine lifting after just a protein shake in the mornings? I’m debating switching to morning workouts but training basically fasted due to time constraints makes me doubt the productivity of my workout.

Morning workouts are the best. Less people, no excuses for no energy. I loved going in the a.m. but have been training with the wife so that means afternoon sessions. Sooo, I get to crush a big ass breakfast religiously now.

Fwiw I think I'm going to start stalking my fox25 morning weather girl. Those dresses they wear are fantastic.

Morning workouts are great. Nobody there. All the “kids” go at night. You’re not going to be as strong as you will be at night, but after your workout you can eat all day. You’ll be hungry as fuck. That’s the best part of the AM workout.

Just finished a chest back routine, did not go to hard, about 40 minutes of lighter weight at high reps.

Weight room only had about 5 people but the cardio area is fricking packed.

Today will be a great day, I feel good

So my report on my first 5 am workout is a good one.

Will be going again tomorrow at 5 am nd it's shoulders and arms, going to kill it.

Posted at 11pm!? That leaves you 5 hours to sleep. You're a better man than i, my friend. :)
Lol, it's about 9:40 where I am at at this moment and I am off to bed.

I need about 6 to 6 and a half. I've never slept much more than 6 hours. Anymore and for me it's actually too much. If I go to bed early I will wake up at 3 am. I do that sometimes even when I go to bed at 10:00 pm

Made it through day 2 of the 5 am workouts.

Even though I worked out hard I don't feel like it during the day like I do if I lift later.

Maybe it's a mental thing.

Tomorrow is leg day, that should make me sore for the day
