this has been asked a few times, i think the general consensus is that no product works as well as a razor

I've done laser hair removal and have been pretty happy with my results. I could have combed my chest hair in the past and after shaving it two days later the look would be pretty bad. However now 80% I would say is gone. I generally only have to shave once per week or so. I just grab another razor specifically for that from my bathtub and use the leftover foam for shaving it.

The one downfall is the pussies that won't set their laser to the level you want it at. They are too scared about the bumps that are left. It looks kinda gross but it quickly goes away after a couple of days. It stings but it is well worth it.

Have a nice day

What do you think ti would cost for the back? I have it all throughout my back, shoulders and back of my arms. I can keep the chest trimmed down but it's the back that I can't handle.

bro be carefull with the laser - the old machines vs new machines big big difference.. You need to research what type of machine your clinic has because you can drop a lot of cash.. Also one thing you need to know is you have to go for like 5 treatment for this to actually remove the unwanted hair.. gets very expensive AND if you use gear the hair is going to come back reguarless...

A place just opened down the street with the new laser and its $1,250 for the chest and back...you go 5 times, once every 3 weeks and your done...However you cant go out in the sun during the process(no tan) so I am gonna do it in september to the end of November.

Can you give me names of places you know of? A lot of them are franchises from what I understand. Also, can you let me know of prices and types of lasers? Thanks for all your help

I am a fuckin monkey everywhere and hate hair. the back is startin to come in now.....starting on the shoulders, and i know its gonna keep goin lower. I shave everything but underarms, head and legs, and its a bitch, the shit grows back like astroturf.
Fortunately I get Mach3 razors for $.25 each from some Mexican guy that works @ the Gillette Headquarters in Southie and steals hundreds of them.
I would get laser, but
1. I'm 21 and dont have the $$ to support my drinkin habit, nevermind laser removal and
2. I don't know if there are any long term effects from it, like 10 or 20 years down the road.

researched differing laser technologies a while back, i've heard the new ones are much more advanced. bump for info on competing lasers/new technology.

I heard sticking your finger in a light socket works pretty good :D

$ 1250 for hair removal? what are you guys, a bunch of women? Might as well start using clinique and exfoliant on your skin too......perhaps tryout for a guest role on 'Queer Eye' while you're at it.

:D

It just depends on where you go. Also let me inform you that 1 treatment is not enough. Because some of the hair is dormant when you undergo laser treatment, it will not be effected by the laser. You will need between 4-6 treatments to see a great reduction in your hair. I am guessing one treatment for the back would be around $600, but sometimes they have specials so you may be able to get it cheaper. Well worth it though dude.

I'm with you, man: I hate hair, yet it's everywhere. As a fellow lifter, though, I'd have to discourage shaving as a means of hair control. For starters, and as you stated, it's a bitch to stay on top of. In 48 hours the entire body is already stubbly again, and I'd rather be in the gym or at the bar than lathering up for 30 minutes in the shower to get "those hard-to-reach places."

Plus, I think shaving will make the problem worse in the long run. I know there are a lot of bros out there that will disagree, and I'm not going to go on record and say shaving makes it come back thicker all the time. But personally speaking, when I look at photographs of myself from my younger days, then look at the amount of chest hair I have now, the only thing I've done between now and then is juice and shave. The sauce obviously can cause body hair growth, and I think the shaving only added to the problem.

I may go for the laser this winter, as others have mentioned doing. I don't expect to be completely hairless, but if I can part with most of it, I'll be a happy man.

Actually, being portuguese, I am quite hairy. I'm fortunate that my back is bare but I grow fur on my traps. I use Nair with aloe on my traps and shoulders and shave everything else. My shoulders are good for about 2 weeks after using nair.

Wax Method!

Anyone here tried the Wax off method? It's not a permanate hair removal only temporary, had it done the other day,man the hair in my pits hurt like shait removing. Maybe GTG for a least a six week period we'll see, any advise out there with this method of hair removal? Yes laser's probaly the real deal, but tight with a small budget doesn't help any, especially all my eats and healthy buys. Just asking bro's Chis

If I use nair on my back it lasts not even a week. I get stuble in about 4 days. I wish they had something out that would work longer or permanent.

I go the wax method and I am sick of it. I don't mind the process, it doesn't seem painful to me (I just have my back done). It's just that I have stubble coming back in a week. The FIRST time it was done was the best. Even though they will tell you to keep doing it and the hair will come back finer, that's a load of bs.

And for all you youngsters that have " a little hair", just wait. Father time is cruel in many ways. not that I am a gorilla, I would just prefer hairless. I will be checking into the laser for my back soon.
