For the past 4-5 months I’ve been doing a lot of volume training. High rep stuff. I recently switched back to more HIT style training, except going well beyond failure—which I’m not accustomed to.
We all know (or should know) RIR / RPE, etc. but how do we measure for volume beyond failure? Drop sets, rest pause, tempos, iso, etc.
I’ve personally come to the conclusion that it just takes a better understanding of your body and needs to be auto regulated… but I’m interested in hearing what Meso thinks? This is mostly for folks who track their workouts—if you don’t, I guess it wouldn’t matter.
