Ideas/thoughts on basic guidelines for sources

Thanks for starting this thread. Good shit in here. The intro process is better here than any other board I’ve seen. But I agree with the requirements being met before any extended bullshit for 25 pages. The thread loses the front page spot until they Annie up. If too many rules get made I think it would cause problems later on with it being controlled. Wont stop the issues that come much later but there are several “persistent” members here that give them shit until it gets fixed. That way it stays free and uncensored. I don’t know much but I am apart of a couple things outside of here and when it comes to bylaws it’s better to be on the conservative side usually.

I couldn't agree more!!! While it's fun to talk shit for a while. If no one post until the demands have been met them the thread dies with the source. No more back and forth . Or the source saying oh next time I brew blah blah blah...... Someone post the damn questions. Whoever wants to sub can sub but no post and everyone shut the fuck up until the source meets our request! I think it's simple is that.

Mother fucking a source before they post anything beyond their intro definitely needs to stop.

Not only is it childish and unprovoked, it breeds belligerence from alot of sources.

Besides, are you more likely to buy from a source that posts titty pics? If so, your standards for health and safety must be pretty low if a set of jugs seals the deal for you.

These new source threads become to cluttered with to many questions asked by to many people. This makes it too easy for the source to skip questions. There is quite a few members here that articulate their question/point without letting emotions get involved. We need members like that to become part of the vetting committee.

The committee would consist of 3 members that would handle the vetting of a new source. These members would handle all the vetting and no other member would post in the thread. The committee would have the vetting layout that has already been put in place by the members. There will be a deadline given to the source to provide all items and each shall meet our standards. The only interaction on the thread will be between the source and any one of the three committee members. If the source doesn't provide the required items by the required deadline the thread will just die. Of course, the source will pop back up with new name but will be required to meet the same process.

If any members feel that something is being overlooked, they WILL NOT post in the thread. That member will contact a committee member through PM. If the committee deems that a source has met all the requirements, then the thread will be opened for sales.

. If that's done then your stepping into a moderated board and open yourself up to back door deals and people possibly being paid on the back side.

Say a thread kinda dies out for a bit. Then the source bumps his own thread back to the top again. Has sales or whatever to lure people into ordering. The lab has been known for shitty quality or contaminated gear.
Elite lab is a good example of this currently.
Question is, do we respond to it by commenting on their short comings and mistakes made? Or just not say anything in hopes the thread dies back out again?
I think it may be better to comment on their shortcomings/mistakes. Just to maybe worn new members and people that may not be up to date on the source.

Yea that was me. I decided that every time brew kit opened his cock sucker, I was going to repeat his shortcomings. That way no newb could look at the thread and feel that it was a good source to purchase from based on sales or other gimmicks used by him to bump his thread.

If he didn't post, I didn't post. If he did post, I posted his entire list of shortcomings that were never addressed. Which were all of them because he never bothered to address any problem he had.

I have no problem with the porn. I do have a problem with the spam that renders threads useless and risks URLs being delisted by Google.

porn removed from the discussion, would dialogue that focuses on mostly negative aspects about a source but remains relentless in its pursuit of consumer protection be considered spam? Essentially spamming a source thread with the same dialogue over and over to keep members aware of the issues at hand. If someone has a bad experience with a source, is sharing it over and over acceptable? Is 10 times too many? How about 100? 1000?

For me, if anyone says a source is a spammer (or gtg) without providing a clear reason or reasons then even one time is too many. They are simply wasting my time.

If the post adds value to the discussion, then I approve. If it doesn't, well then...

Derailing threads IS the problem.

Derailing a thread with useless bullshit is the last thing anyone should want to do if they are truly interested in creating a useful and informative thread discussion that allows consumer to make their own informed decisions. Thread derailment is incompatible with this objective. I don't know how so many people came to believe this was helpful to consumers in any way whatsoever.

All with meso and date written on a piece of paper. (Reddit sst scoc required the paper to be crumpled, i believe for protection against photoshopping the date in there, i really dont know tho)

Have been watching the vetting of Majesty Labs. Although the source is a loser the process has been top notch and has followed the consensus established here. Questions and requirements posted by members have been on point and persistent. No porn, no flaming, no tirades. Simply skillful work by folks knowledgeable in harm reduction.

Props to @bolder and all of you. Makes me proud to be a part of Meso!

The vetting of Gear_Whores also went well. Good work by all who participated.

I'm still frustrated, and somewhat obsessed, by the fact the minute a price list and contact info are posted in the Underground orders almost certainly begin from those most vulnerable to harm. If they haven't posted pics the source is taking deliberate advantage of Meso's popularity and high regard. Fuck them for that.

Completely agree with what @bolder and @Grandpa Gainz wrote in posts #17, #18, and #20. I can't foresee a perfect solution. That doesn't mean we can't make more progress.

IMO there is a consensus of member opinion photos of lab setup/equipment and products are source requirements.

I'm planning a more aggressive personal approach if another source starts off with no pics. I remember what Millard said and will stay within that lane. Please pm if I nonetheless go too far.

I saw this on another forum and think it´s a good idea. If we could have a source list stickied under Steroid underground that has been vetted for quality by members.
