Saw Pantera at the Orphium Theater, Boston MA back in the early 90s. Unreal. Simply the best thing I have ever witnessed first hand.
Only metal concert that might rival that was Slayer at Lupos in Rhode Island. Maybe mid 2000s? I saw a huge dude pick a crowd surfer up and throw him into a support pillar. Wildest mosh pit I have ever seen in my life at this show. Front to back, left to right. The place was visceral and savage.
I'm not sure crowds get like that anymore. I haven't been to a metal concert since college.

I have seen slayer a couple times now, most recently back in august with lamb of god and behemoth.
Pit was pretty wild and shit but i think most venues have a much lower tolerance for that kind of stuff now so if you are fighting people you will probably get thrown out. Still fuckin intense though, even as a bunch of old dudes slayer still kills onstage.
Yeah my oldan has seen pantera a few times, and of course metallica, skayer, exodus all the bands you would want to see lol. I really missed out on that golden era.

Can you imagine.... Tyson in his prime (now would be OK too) just giving Warren one solid punch. That would be so satisfying. Then, move on to Schumer, and Pelosi and.... Ooops, I'm starting to sound like a vindictive liberal. Still, Warren is awful to the core.
