If you ride, what do you ride?

3 wheelers?? Man I haven't seen one of those in years now. I rode one once and it felt like it was going to constantly flip over on me, thing scared the hell out of me

It's an inherently fucked up design, the COG is so high and then the weight shift when turning, coupled with further shifts when the front suspension compresses. Those are truly unsafe at any speed.

I recall a friend's Honda 250R, constant struggle to keep that fucker from not flipping. Lots of body English needed. And if you're on asphalt, OMG! The insanity of driving that thing. Good forearm workout.

Stay away from those.

2002 man at least.
2000-2001 is 2nd gen alum frame. Great motor.
2002-2003 3rd gen. Much better frame, suspension and if you keep the RC cables tight, bike is plenty fast.
Don't even consider 97-99 crap

@Oregongearhead is coos Bay and Winchester the dunes you're talking about or are there more dunes farther down?

@combover - Im right between Coos Bay and Winchester Bay . ATV Mecca !!

Just gotta know a 3-wheelers limits...they are much funner than a quad once youve mastered them ...donuts on 2 wheels is the bomb ! right @Atc350xguy ?? :p

Nice whip ya got there OGH! Looks like a 99 or 98. The fiancé has agreed to me getting another dirt bike after the wedding. I'm leaning towards a early 2000's CR250 myself.

Its a 1998 (high HP year)
I was looking for a 2000 plus CR-250 when this showed up in Portland , such low hours I made the 6 hour R/T drive to get it . Love it !

Well, it was fun on sand dunes - any other terrain and it felt unsafe.

2 wheels up front, that'd be a better 3-wheeler.

I think that works better on asphalt , 2 wheels up front . Thats what most street legal trikes are doing like Bombardier . But off-road 2 in the back , one up front works better IMO . But they must be respected...I got thru off a ATC-200x when I tryed taking a high speed curve without proper body english... Lessons were learned that day :D

If 18-20 year old 170lb me had a hard time with those trikes, I don't think 54 yo 220lb me is going to do any better - well, I might crash more spectacularly.

Lol brother I have been on 3 wheelers since I was 6 it's all in the rider. I'm confident riding with any quads or dirtbikes and any speeds on dirt pavement pretty much any terrain. But it took a long time and thousands of hours. I hear people say "that guy is crazy doing that on a three wheeler" all the time. But it' not crazy just practice.

Sure, practice long enough and you get good at anything. I just pointed out the inherent problems with the design.

But, just like that dude who said bears are our friends, there are some fundamental realities that need to be recognized.

I always find it interesting that guys who build there bodies typically have a fasciation with going fast and building cool stuff. For me it guns, 3 wheelers and enduro's. So am just curious if I speaking generally about myself lol or if you guys feel the same?

Fat bitches.....I ride fat bitches!

Confused why 3 wheelers have the 2 wheels at the back. Seems more stable to put the 2 wheels at the front??

I ride a dirt bike. Mostly ride motocross, love the sand dunes and desert riding. I got a new 450 and it's a bad bitch.
I like to go fast. I have a lot of buddy's that ride trail so I'll with, but I prefer speed over technical trail riding.

Ridden all up and down the west coast. San Diego to Olympia. Love that shit.
Becareful out thier fellas an always atleast wear a helmet cuz everybody knows.......Screenshot_2017-12-23-08-22-59-1.png
