Illnesses, AAS & hGH

I've had a bout with illness these past few weeks. Starting bout 2.5 weeks ago, had COVID. A sibling tested positive, then informed me because of contact. Took the COVID test (have a boat-load on-hand) and my result was positive. I received both COVID and Flu updated vaccines in late September, so symptoms were mild for me. Actually, the symptoms felt like a light cold.

Yesterday morning, I came down with (what I believe to be) "food poisoning." A lot of burping and diarrhea. Feel better today, but still getting over it.

I missed two workout sessions while I had COVID—only because I didn't want to go to the gym and get anyone else sick. And, as of today, I'll miss one workout session because of the food poisoning.

I've kept up with my daily injections of AAS and hGH. I just wanted to see if anyone else has experience with illnesses, AAS & hGH, and what protocols they have followed, eliminated, etc. while sick.

Welp, when I've crashed my e2 inadvertently, it's precipitated flu like symptoms occasionally. Normally I just feel a little off when I'm too low, but those other times... Maybe my body was fighting something and the added load of hormones being crushed was enough to give a decent foothold to whatever was infecting me.

There's also been one covid infection I had during a blast. I just kept dosing - albeit closer to cruise dosages - while keeping HGH administration the same. I felt like I came out of it quicker, as it was the third or fourth time overall I contracted covid. (I travel a lot, I attribute the increased exposure to that.)

If you feel like absolute bunk though, I'd personally ramp down gradually. A hormone rollercoaster usually isn't very fun.

Crashed e2 is a good point. For me, I know my e2 is/was good & stable ("35") because I test every month and dosages were identical to past stable runs.

At the time I made the original post, I thought it was food poisoning, but actually ended up a 5 day stomach virus. It got worse after I posted. Lost 9 pounds in 6 days. Likely, the effect of COVID on my immune system left me vulnerable. I just kept on my protocol (similar to you) and missed a week's worth of training. I've been on a "cut," at 375mg/wk test + 4iU hGH.

I guess it would also make a difference depending on the illness and whether it's a "blast," "cruise," etc. Since my doses are low, I figured reducing/eliminating wasn't going to make a difference hormone-wise, and I didn't want to disrupt my levels. If it was going to help, "Ramping down" was what I was thinking as well. Although, these short-term illnesses are probably not heavy enough to warrant a reduction or cessation of hormones.

This week, getting back to the gym, I noticed a drop in strength and performance. Not major, but noticeable. Probably the dramatic fluctuation in weight, dehydration... maybe had not yet fully recovered. I didn't feel "on." Could also be the calorie reduction in concert affecting recovery.

Hope you get back to full health quickly.
Covid + food poisoning sound like a rather ghastly combo, lol.

Bless you, darling, have fun with your food for the extra calories you have missed.
That should cheer you up and get Mojo back on track.
:)
