Hi all!
I wanted to take an opportunity to let everyone know that I am now available for distance personal training/ strength and conditioning coaching (as well as one-on-one private personal training in a private gym if you are in the Springfield, MO area).
Whether your fitness goals are as simple as to lose weight or get in shape or as complex as pre-contest preparation for bodybuilding or strength sports, I will provide you with a specific, detailed training program based on your individual needs rather than some cookie cutter program youll get from most personal trainers.
As your personal trainer/ coach I will provide you with:
An incredibly detailed weight training program designed specifically for you with your goals in mind. I write every program for my clients after I assess their needs, and no two programs are the same.
A complete nutritional program to help your real your dietary goals
A comprehensive cardiovascular program to address you body composition and health needs.
Fantastic, reliable, speedy service to ensure that your satisfaction is not only met, but surpassed. I can be reached anytime by phone, email, etc. and will respond in a quick, timely manner because I know that your time and goals are important to you.
A little about me:
I am an elite level powerlifter and competitive strongman with a passion (if not obsession) for training myself and others. Nothing makes me happier than to see a friend reach a personal goal; be it fitting into that incredible dress for a class reunion, a 600 lb bench press, or something in-between. Regardless of age or ability, something special happens when a person reaches a goal theyve worked so hard for. I thrive on seeing that.
I have been involved in competitive strength sports for over five years and have trained extensively for over ten years. I have a vast amount of experience both in personal training, strength and conditioning coaching and distance training. I have written training articles for several strength magazines, and have conducted a vast amount of research both in and out of the gym in the fields of strength and conditioning as well as Exercise Physiology.
I dont believe youll find a more knowledgeable personal trainer/ coach anywhere with the unique ability to communicate the complex in a simple, easy-to-understand, effective manner.
Distance training is $100 per month, which includes an in-depth interview process the first month in order to really get to know my clients and their fitness goals. The monthly fee includes your personalized training program, nutritional program, and cardiovascular program (which will be updated and emailed to you weekly). There is no monthly commitment, so you can try me out for a month with very little to lose.
Personal one-on-one training is $200 per month and is done in my own private home gym (located just outside Springfield, MO)
Please email me for more information on distance training or personal training

I look forward to hearing from you!

As a mentor in the coaching internship program at Midwestern State University I have the opportunity to work with a great many graduate students who want to work in the fitness industry or as strength coaches. Having seen some succeed and some fail has taught me a lot about the qualities needed for success, and I think Matt has these qualities. He has the interpersonal skills to work with people, to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, and to transfer his enthusiasm to them. He also has a very solid base of knowledge that will enable him be competent working with a range of people from the middle aged and out of shape to high level athletes wanting an edge on the competition. I would be happy to have him involved in my program.

Matt Reynolds has been a training partner and teammate of mine for four years now. In this time we have had many discussions on training principals and how to apply them to real life situations. During these discussions, Matt has demonstrated a broad and deep understanding of the principals of resistance training. Matt is unlike many trainers in that he not only knows what methods are effective in bringing about specific results or adaptations, he understands why they work. This allows him to effectively tailor his exercise prescription for an individual. While Matt is fully capable of explaining his training theories to the most astute students of weight training, he has demonstrated the ability to speak to those who are not as advanced as himself.
My experience as a personal trainer and as an instructor of several weight training courses has taught me that to effectively connect with and teach others, you not only need to be knowledgeable, but personable as well. Matt is very outgoing and personable. He has a genuine interest in helping others achieve fitness or strength goals. Clients will see this and it will only compliment his high level of knowledge. I would highly recommend Matt Reynolds as a personal trainer. I think he has what it takes to be very successful in that field.

When Matt Reynolds first approached me and offered his services as a weight lifting coach, I was thrilled. At first, I didn't know what to expect from him, but in the end, I got what I wanted -- incredible gains in the gym -- and then some. Matt put me on a extremely detailed and precise weight training program, influenced by not only Matt's well-rounded knowledge of the weight training world, but by his overwhelming experience, as he himself trains too. I think this is one of the most important qualities to look for in a personal trainer.

A personal trainer must practice what he preaches and be a walking example of results. This is just the aspect that Matt thrives in. I knew that as hard as he motivated me to work, he has been through the same. Not enough can be said about Matt's dedication to his clients. Whenever I had a slight problem or dilemma, he was quick to answer. It was nice to know I was dealing with someone who has great experience, knowledge, and is reliable and friendly. Above all, what is most important was the results I saw in the gym. In the short time that he oversaw my training regime, I made gains I never thought possible. I was exposed to so many different aspects of weight training, that it truly was a priceless experience that I will remember forever.

Matt Reynolds did an excellent job as my personal trainer. Matt first gave me a questionnaire to fill out, that outlined everything about me. Then he personally talked with me about what I wanted to accomplish, and what my goals where. Matt worked with me every step of the way, and communicated with me every week. With Matt as my personal trainer, I went from 300lbs on the squat to 375 in 6 weeks, and this was not the only thing I increased on. Matt knows his stuff, and any gym or company that hires Matt as a personal trainer is getting a solid trainer who knows his stuff!

First of all, I want to say that it was a real pleasure working with you Matt. Ever since I followed the program you offered me, my lifts have improved a great amount. Your knowledge on training was unmatched, and you were there every week to take the time and write up the weeks program for me. The outline of the program was designed for my own needs which was the greatest part, any questions I had, you answered them clearly and in great detail, i couldn't have asked for anything else, A real professional. You are very easy to work with, and very responsive to the needs of your client.
