Here's my take after having been on Meso for a few weeks. I'd invite anyone to correct me or clarify my assumptions.
According to many, there's an influx of new members on Meso who, like me, are likely unable to assess the credibility of a source. Maybe some of us aren't inclined to read and trust too easily. Many veteran members have left recently, which has created a void in being able to more forcefully hold sources accountable. It seems as though the "identity" of what Meso stands for is not what it recently was in the absence of these members.
There's money to be made in selling steroids. Based on their inclination, disposition, skill, knowledge, resources, and experience, sources choose how intentional and deliberate they want to be in manufacturing their product. This includes accurate dosing, the use of EO, BA, and BB, heavy metals, contaminants such as plastic, what type of oil is used, what type of hardware is used, and transparency in the manufacturing process. I'm sure I'm leaving some stuff out, and I'd love to know more.
It's a process that begs sources to cut corners. Money is nice and all, but more money more faster is more better. And that's the temptation: cut the corners. Deliver a product that's "good enough" for folks who aren't into asking questions. Testing raws means that product is not moving. Having consumers test their vials is awesome, but by that time, and untested product is already on the market.
Which is why a source being impeccable with their word is so critical. Once that trust is violated, even once, all other statements are suspect. Which is why sources get kickback and skepticism if they have a tarnished history.
So what are newbs like me to do? We don't have the experience of having witnessed sources come and go, or to see how one violation of trust typically becomes two, then three, then more, then exit scam. I guess I see my role is to learn as much as I can and to read a lot. And like now, to question my assumptions and double-check with more veteran members. Anyone have something to add on this? Set me straight where I am wrong and elaborate on what's missing, please.
I intentionally started a new thread for this to avoid suggesting that this was about any particular source. It would have been nice to post it in a more visible location, but I'm not trying to fuck with anyone's business.
