In light of discussions about source credibility

Here's my take after having been on Meso for a few weeks. I'd invite anyone to correct me or clarify my assumptions.

According to many, there's an influx of new members on Meso who, like me, are likely unable to assess the credibility of a source. Maybe some of us aren't inclined to read and trust too easily. Many veteran members have left recently, which has created a void in being able to more forcefully hold sources accountable. It seems as though the "identity" of what Meso stands for is not what it recently was in the absence of these members.

There's money to be made in selling steroids. Based on their inclination, disposition, skill, knowledge, resources, and experience, sources choose how intentional and deliberate they want to be in manufacturing their product. This includes accurate dosing, the use of EO, BA, and BB, heavy metals, contaminants such as plastic, what type of oil is used, what type of hardware is used, and transparency in the manufacturing process. I'm sure I'm leaving some stuff out, and I'd love to know more.

It's a process that begs sources to cut corners. Money is nice and all, but more money more faster is more better. And that's the temptation: cut the corners. Deliver a product that's "good enough" for folks who aren't into asking questions. Testing raws means that product is not moving. Having consumers test their vials is awesome, but by that time, and untested product is already on the market.

Which is why a source being impeccable with their word is so critical. Once that trust is violated, even once, all other statements are suspect. Which is why sources get kickback and skepticism if they have a tarnished history.

So what are newbs like me to do? We don't have the experience of having witnessed sources come and go, or to see how one violation of trust typically becomes two, then three, then more, then exit scam. I guess I see my role is to learn as much as I can and to read a lot. And like now, to question my assumptions and double-check with more veteran members. Anyone have something to add on this? Set me straight where I am wrong and elaborate on what's missing, please.

I intentionally started a new thread for this to avoid suggesting that this was about any particular source. It would have been nice to post it in a more visible location, but I'm not trying to fuck with anyone's business.

Your concerns aren't actually the major risks.

To reduce your risk:
1. Stick with old and tested compounds
2. Use pharma grade whenever possible
3. Don't use toxic or high risk products
4. Filter when possible and use safe injection techniques
5. Use only the minimum effective dose
6. Think of total load in terms of toxicity and stress
7. Perform frequent blood tests and do organ scans

This will reduce harm more than stressing about Ethyl Oleate in oils or heavy metals.

As for sources it's a gamble. You have to be ready to lose money so only spend what you're comfortable with using.

Also don't buy extra and become a reseller or drug dealer.

If you're prone to health anxiety or anxiety in general then you're in for a rough ride....

Search function “source X” and “GOAT”

A good while ago I stopped chasing compounds and just went with whatever the best most trusted sources had in stock and which I know agrees with me. Sometimes it was just test. Doesn’t matter. You can get to where you want to be on test alone. But going back several months people laughed when some of us said that test would be hard to find by here we are (getting better now but there was a few months there where the cupboards were bare).

This is for whoever “new” reads this.

I haven’t been here the longest. But what I can say I’ve noticed. It’s a classic internet forum now. No longer an old school harm reduction board. Which unfortunately with today’s time is hard to do.

It’s got its keyboard warriors who shit talk for no reason, TikTok kids, people who troll, those who just join for gear and ask dumb questions, and a good mix of genuine people.

And those genuine people, their names are often seen in threads & you’ll start to notice them. They’re still holding the harm reduction side of this forum. And genuinely helping.
Those names or veterans on here you can read what they post and gain an opinion on them. Whether you want to believe them as a source shill, or a genuine person here for good… that’s up to you and the brain between your ears.

I spent HOURS and HOURS reading source boards. I’ve seen sources come and go, I’ve seen sources get absolutely ripped apart on how they did things, and a few who adapted and stuck around. I’ve ordered and tested products myself to ensure it’s legit and not some bath tub infected gear.

But unfortunately these things are just part of the game with underground internet gear/meds. And theres A LOT to learn on here. Take the time and read.

I think this is the best answer for OP

Whether you've been on Meso for 1 week, 1 year, or 10 years, it's always a gamble

There are no shortcuts; gotta spend time reading source threads - to make that easier, decide if you want to pay more for faster gear delivery (domestic sources) or paying less but willing to wait (international sources)

thisi will automatically cut your options down to just a few active sources in each category, which you can go through in a few days and decide for yourself if the gamble with them is within your risk tolerance; if not, move on (and also, no source is going to check all the boxes)
