incorporating speed training in 5x5

I was wondering if anyone has incorporated bands or chains for speed training in the 5x5 program. I saw it was recommended in some of the 5x5 reading to do it on the 1x5 sets but has anyone done this before and if so how did you like the results?

this is easy to do. just add the chains!!! seriously, if you want to use chains on one of the workouts, just add them in at the start of a cycle, and then do everything else like you normally would. ive used this before quite a bit.

So you just used them on any one of the lifts, one day or several? I was going to use bands but was concerned about it being too much and didn't want to switch to a different training method just to use them. I take it you still got good results since you did it quite a bit?

id just do it on one day... say if on mondays workout you started the last cycle with 300lbs on squat, this time start with 250lbs and 70lbs of chain... then go thru the cycle as usual.
