Inflamation in shoulder

What grade tear do you have Mr. Thickneck? (There are four grades) May I suggest to consider Physical therapy first before flying through surgery. Pre-operative therapy have a much higher sucess rate than of surgery itself. (More than 75% I believe). If your scapulothoracic mobility/shoulder mechanics are abnormal, fixing the supraspinatus is NOT, I repeat NOT going to fix your shoulder.

Torn rotator cuffs are very common among weight lifters because they neglect the importance of directly training their rotator cuffs, particuarly the external rotators..... without the four little wimpy RTC muscles the shoulder mechanics go completly out of whack.

Thickneck, I have to tell you that I have jumped to surgeries for problems before in other areas and dearly regret this. I have worked with Chipmunk in person on Shoulder problems in the past and this cat knows how to train and rehab athletes at PRO levels around injuries. I had a doc tell me the same thing about my shoulder (said it was almost a complete tear and needed surgery) after I flipped a SUV last year at 70mph. I took my MRI to Chipmunk and he completely rehabed me and had me doing excersises targeted for this. I have no shoulders issues now and am back to Benching heavy. Just my 2cc's.

He is having me do some things at home for a couple weeks before surgery. I have a 6-8 mm tear in the supraspinatus tendon. The rotator is fine. I can't even bring down 135 on incline press cause it hurts like a bitch. It started in febuary and i still have the same pain. He showed me the rip on the MRI. I want to get it fixed i can't even lift and he said a tendon will not grow back together.
