Interested in the results of Anavar cycles in calorie deficit vs maintenance vs surplus

I’m about to start week 2 of my Anavar only cycle, purchased from domestic supply. My stats are 5’1, 108 lbs. ~16-18% body fat range, female, lifting heavy for a couple of years in maintenance for the most part. I have recomped considerably, but of course it is never enough lol. My goal is to build more muscle in my glutes/legs, but I have a very hard time bulking due to not being hungry enough and also not being comfortable with fat gain. I try, but I can only manage a slight calorie surplus on some days.

Since Anavar is basically said all over the place to be the safest steroid for women that’s what I’m doing, 5 mg per day split into two doses. I read that it decreases appetite but I feel hungrier on it and I’m eating more. The few before and after pictures of women I’ve found show that they got leaner/smaller but gained weight at the same time. So my questions are what type of results should I expect taking Anavar on maintenance, versus taking it in a deficit or surplus? Do steroids change the amount of calories needed to gain a pound of muscle? Are women eating more on this steroid to gain the muscle they are adding? Also interested in hearing from men who have taken it alone or are pretty knowledgeable about how it works.

You should expect to get leaner/smaller, while gaining weight from new muscle at the same time. Assuming you eat at a caloric surplus.
 
Anavar interacts with both the glucocorticoid receptor (tren does as well but to a much larger degree) and the androgen receptor. Hitting the GR helps reduce cortisol, among other things. The reason men recomp so well on tren is because that combination allows for superior nutrient partitioning and lets you defy the laws of nature juuuust a tiny bit.

Anavar is similar, but in men it’s not as pronounced. However in women* the change that comes from these interactions can be dramatic. So your question about calories needed to gain a pound of muscle is a pretty insightful one. One pound is still one pound, right? Sure. But now your body is using your calories more efficiently and that one pound of muscle does in fact require fewer calories than it would if you were natural.

I'm also insanely interested in how anavar impacts women, as my lady wants to cycle, and I'm quite ignorant in that regard. I'm actually afraid for her to use any anabolics because I don't want her to lose her femininity.

As an experienced male anavar user, it's one of my favorite compounds. I've used all the way up to 100mg a day, and the strength gains are incredible. However, I normally stick to 30mg and less now days, because of the lesser impact on lipids, and the fact that I get anxiety and nosebleeds at higher doses.

In short, I'm hoping some knowledgeable folk on female AAS usage will respond here and enlighten you (OP) and myself.

I’ve definitely experienced anxiety on my 5 mg dose in the first few days, Also on the second day I threw up after taking a little bit more than 2.5 mg because it made me so nauseous, and I was nauseous in general for the first few days. I could also feel it, like I felt different, everything felt a little off. Now I seem to be adjusted to it because I don’t really feel any different than I normally feel. I’m definitely a lot stronger though, I’ve been crushing PRs but I’m really sore now because it was easy to overdo in the gym.
 
I read that any weight gain on Anavar will be muscle because it doesn’t “aromatize”. Is this accurate? Can I eat like total crap (but hit my protein goal) and just put on muscle?
 
You’re wanting to stay lean, but gain muscle is what I think you’re saying? Anavar kept my body bikini ready, but I had to still watch my diet making sure I had good lean proteins. You prob won’t see much muscle activity until you increase your var more than 2.5 AM/PM. Although every body is different specifically cortisol levels. You can still do it safely. Try 5 AM and 5 PM for a couple of weeks and with that low amount you shouldn’t have any side effects. I usually instruct females to start with that. To get my hard look I added primo to the var. I was able to safely do that for 5 weeks until I started noticing hoarse voice. I want to keep my female voice so I quit at 5 weeks. Which still created a considerable amount of muscle growth in my body.

No and yes, although the second one is how weight gain works, with or without drugs. But along with that muscle comes fat.
 
The place you got your var-domestic supply… do they have test results on their var from members? Only asking because many times places will sell dbol instead of anavar. I have experience with that.

Lol no, you can easily get fat on steroids. Everyone would be ripped otherwise. What the other person meant was anavar doesn't convert into estrogen and therefore doesn't cause water retention... but it does.

I have seen several bikini competitors run anavar from 5-30mg and usually they do get more bloated/watery while on it. You get a drier look with winstrol but it's a much harsher steroid with worse side effects.

You will see results whatever you do when taking a male hormone. You don't have to "bulk". A small kcal surplus goes a long way.

I tried winny and I got those horrible knee aches.. but not everyone gets them.

Yes, I’ve been trying to grow my glutes and shoulders for a long time. The shape is much better but I haven’t gotten much bigger in my glutes, though my stomach continues to shrink. I don’t eat enough to grow substantially, I know that. As soon as I see my belly getting fatter I cant handle it, so I was hoping I could take the var and gain some muscle without getting too fat, or at least lean out further without losing my progress. It was kind of an impulsive decision I made while scrolling through natty or juice, to be honest.
I appreciate your advice to increase to 10 mg per day. I will increase and see how it affects me.
 
Damn you are 5'1 and under 50kg (For someone heavily working out thats not much), I really think you should fix your nutrition and eat with discipline... You can't grow if you start a cut as soon as you see some fat lol. You wont turn into a god or anything and grow muscle with 0 fat gain while doing a shitty diet.

^What he said. If you dont know how to eat enough you are pissing in the wind using PEDs.
 
I put on 26 lbs of lean body mass and lost 18lbs of fat on 25-50mg /day anavar and 300-400mg/wk testosterone cyponiate in 8 weeks. I gained 8lbs a couple days after first injection. Which I then lost about 3 weeks post cycle. Though we're pretty much apples and oranges since you shouldn't/wouldn't be using testosterone

Also I was on ephedrine 3x a day and occasionally phentermine so that probably helped protect muscle tissue.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying that you can eat like a pig fat on var and gain all muscle 0 fat. You will most definitely be able to get away with a bit more.

Keep eating clean, training hard, and have maybe an extra cheat meal or two a week if you want to keep your fat gain minimal.
