Interesting Theory on Iraq and the Middle East

What choices do we have? Both candidates suck ass. Kerry wants to jack up our taxes and support lazy poor people, while Bush wants to spend our money like water and take away our right to choose what the hell we want to do. Vote libertarian.

This is kinda cool... www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html

Shit all rather support poor people here in the US,.than to have more of our money go to places like Iraq,..Where they are still killing our troops,..we conquered it now lets fucken leave,.and take care of our wounded and deceast family's of our fellow troop's.

We are waisting more money helping Iraq out, than we would spend on welfare or SSI,..

I doubt it. Iraq will be a relatively short-lived deal (couple years, ten years, whatever) welfare and SS will be ongoing till our country gets run into the ground.

If we spend more money on programs to get people employment,..problem will be solved on that matter.
Rather than to have a Huge deficit in the future, than even my kids would still paying for it when thay grow up.

Except that welfare doesnt get people back to work, at least not the way that the majority of states have it set up. Now, Wisconsin has the right idea. They will help people out financially, but ONLY if the person gets a part time job or something similar. No work = no money.

BTW, California will spend AT LEAST $6.4 billion this year on welfare.

I get pissed about this for a few reasons. One, I think that people need to take responsibility for their own financial situation. This includes working years are retirement. I dont want to have to pay for either on anyone else. Second, my uncle is basically scamming taxpayers out of money every single month. Legally (but still bullshit). He's on SSI for mental issues, but with him being on his meds (which he gets for free) he is full capable, mentally and physically, of getting a job for 20+ hours a week. But hes f*ckin lazy. Hes milking the system and has absolutely no intention of ever working. Why should he when he gets free money in the mail every month. It pisses me off!

You just had to add California in there :D

Oh yeah no doubt on the mental issues,But the idea that Wisconsin has sounds reasonable also,.but at least we are helping our own people,.Rather than wasting more money for a sinking ship.

I see SS and welfare as sinking ships, but I agree with you that we'll never be reimbursed for our costs in Iraq. We should just satisfy all the critics and take over the Iraqi oil reserves and use that to lower our fuel costs and to repay the billions spent over there.

there are so many programs to get employment that it isnt even funny. When i was first married and had my son I used these programs. Trust me, they make it very easy to afford college and get a job if you want to work. I had more money on welfare than I do now. That is sad. They make it so damn easy that there isnt any incentive to work unless you have some dignity. I felt like shit cashing those checks but knowing they will get a million bucks in taxes from me eased those feeling in a hurry.

Bob I though you were voting for Bush?
I probably will vote for him again. I would rather not, but the alternative, IMO, is even worse.

Rod, Im well aware that the Lib candidate doesnt stand a chance. I can hope, cant I? Hell, maybe I will vote for him.

No, nobody is allowed to have any hope.

war is ugly

War is ALWAYS ugly for both sides. Trust me, we will be bombed again, but this time with nukes, its only a matter of time .....

I gotta tell you, it's nice to see younger people who aren't RAGING liberals. It seems like anyone under 30 forms their politics by watching MTV. Anyway, I'm what some of you would call a " crazy right wing fundamentalist Christian " lol. So obviously I am a strong supporter of the Republican party. Do I agree with everything Bush or the party support? Of course not. But I don't agree with 95% of anything the democrats, or John Kerry have to say. Anyway, Jarz - it truly is unfortunate when children and civilians are killed. But that's a part of any war brother. But the U.S. has taken more steps than any country in HISTORY to prevent civilian casualties. Now, let's consider out fundamental muslim friends. They TARGET children and civilians. And for the record, the number that supports these tactics is FAR greater than our media or government would have us believe. By the way Bob, I agree with you about welfare. I'm not sure that I would support doing away with it altogether. But it should be GREATLY minimized. Government has NO RIGHT to force people to pay for other's " misfortunes " These sorts of issues were meant to be left to family, friends, and religious charities.
