What's Up Everyone.

Wanted to post an intro finally as I'm planning on finally asking questions and getting involved in what seems to be one of the still well moderated and well researched communities in the underground. Long time lurker here, user on ASF for a number of years.

Have run a good number of cycles allthough my first 3 were dumb as hell for how old I was and where I was at in my physique Journey. I was still in the mindset at the time that AAS/PEDs were a magic solution and have since leanred that they are just a very effective tool to leverage when all else is dialed in. I mean dumb as in running 500 test with 20mg of superdrol no AI first time around. Second cycle was 200 test, 400 mast, 400 tren (again dumb as hell for where I was at and both from sources that were not lab tested at all). 3rd was a more moderate version of number 2 and yet again, didn't know what the hell I was doing and was probably still sitting at 25ish% bodyfat. After that, I tried to come off completely because I'd fucked alot up in my life but a year later, seeing many doctors and trying pct protocols, my natural production never came back and US insurance wouldn't cover + trt clinic was too expensive at the time.

I was forced to start actually doing my research, learning about hormone optimization, blood markers and what dose of exogenous test would get me to high-normal levels. Stayed there for a couple years and decided to start dabling again by just adding 25mg var to a cut. Upping the test a little. And throwing in half of that in mast. Bloods looked good at the time and I got semi-decent results but I definitely knew I needed to dial in diet and training more after that. Definitely realized how little I actually fucking knew.

A little about my stats. Currently 25yo, 195lbs at an estimated 12-15% bodyfat. Pretty proud of where I am at at the moment since I finally have abs showing and tons of vascularity. This is the lowest and leanest I've gotten thus far due to alot of depressive issues for the majority of my life as well as developing a binge eating disorder that I barely got over in the last 4 months and had me gaining 60lbs of mostly fat that took me from 175 and somewhat skinny fat to an obese 235. I am currently taking a break from the hard dieting and increasing calories again for a bit even though I want to get leaner since this cut took me 40ish lbs down and putting on a significant amount of lean mass in the process and I can feel my body getting slugish, my mental getting fucked, and overall just operating less efficiently.

This is more of a recreational hobby for me than anything else but it is my primary focus outside of my career. Didn't neccesarily know how much to put here. Definitely have a lot more experience with other compounds and have used even dumber shit than mentioned. But I wanted to provide a decent baseline about myself before I started asking questions and participating.

Looking forward to learning from you freaks,

This is more of a recreational hobby for me
Sorry to hear about your hormone problems after your first few cycles. At 25 years old that has to be difficult do deal with. As for depression and binge eating.... one probably fuels the other. Discipline and regimen can help dig you out of a hole. Make a solid food and weightlifting plan, and lean on the plan when everything else feels fucked. Have your infrastructure in place so that you aren't missing and scrambling to cover gaps in your habits.

You might be amazed at what an extended period of discipline and regimen with your training and food can do for the way you feel.

But if this is no more than a recreational hobby..... don't even mess with trying to run cycles or using steroids. Don't use racing fuel if you aren't a race car.

Appreciate the kind words brother. Im doing much better and the depression definitely did help fuel the binge eating but also did too drastic of a cut last time around and restricted calories way too much for way too long.

I'd like to say training is and has been very dialed in since Jan of last year and diet and nutrition has been a learning curve, especially learning to eat to counter the binge eating, but I'd argue that's pretty dialed in as well. Though again, I think I have lots more to learn.

I also appreciate the advisement to not run anything if this is as I put it "recreational". I dont want to come across disrespectful, but that is partially why I'm here. To learn to do it enhanced but smarter and more informed. Maybe recreational is the wrong way to put it? I don't want to compete, but again, outside of my career, lifting and sculpting my body and pushing it to its limits brings me the most pleasure compared to anything else. Again, hope that doesnt come across as disrespectful or too hardheaded. It's more just a decision that I already made for myself to engage in.

diet and nutrition has been a learning curve

Find lean high protein foods you can eat on repeat with little prep effort.

For me thats scrambled egg whites with 1 whole egg cracked in, and sometimes ham or chicken cut up in it

On my days where it's hardest for me to eat, it's adding a half gallon of fairlife ultra filtered fat free milk

And rice for carbs

Even when I am having my hardest time eating .... I can get down rice and drink my milk. I'll chase it with a half serving of walnuts for some healthy fats.

Can't go wrong with foods like that.

Welcome to Meso. Prolonged dieting can really mess with metabolism and thyroid. Generally speaking, you need be "off" for as long as you were "on" to restore everything back to baseline. I try to keep cuts to 8 weeks max so then I can run maintenance for 8 weeks and then bulk.

If you have a lot of weight to lose this is less meaningful. My first hard cut I went from 240 lbs to 187 lbs in 3 months. I then ran maintenance for a month and began my first blast with no issues gaining. YMMV.

Yeah, this was pretty much the scenario. I was pretty normal maybe above average looking at maybe 200-205. Cut too hard for too long when my body couldn't handle it and didnt have enough dialed in and wouldnt sacrifice some of my vices. Developed the disorder. Gained 60lbs, lost most of it while putting on lean mass over the course of 3-4 months. Realized recently that I was getting close to that breaking point again based off of symptoms so coming back to baseline for a while before I push any further since I'm pretty content with where I'm at for now and I need to get my energy and mental acuity back for my job. Nice to hear from someone else who had a lot to lose and did it in a similar timeframe.
