Hi all. I'm a 44 year old male, 5'10", about 200 lbs and roughly 15% bf. I've been lifting for about 26 years now, picked it up in college after being a rather pudgy, unathlethic adolescent period.
Over the last several months I've gotten interested in peptides, which has slowly morphed into rHGH and likely test. Getting bloods done tomorrow so I can figure out what I actually "need".
Already learned a ton from this forum and look forward to continuing.
what bloodwork did you order?
Make sure to at least get your natty estradiol, shbg, dht, psa, free test, total test, CBC, CMP, lipid panel, apob, lpa, hs crp, ggt, cycstatin c....
doesn't hurt to check iron now, some guys go low after starting test. Thyroid panel is always good- TSH, free t3, free t4, reverse t3... vitamin D, dhea, pregnolone, progesterone, prolactin......
If you didn't get your natty baseline igf-1 done before starting hgh, wait to get your blood draw and include that test.
Stop using your hgh for 2-3 weeks then go get your natty number
For HGH you will also want to get your A1c and insulin tested.
Don't start test before then either
If your blood pressure is over 120/70, fix that first
If you have a history of elevated cholesterol, .... also fix that first- along with getting some cardiac imaging like a calcium score to start- then an echo and cardiac mri and or ct angiogram.
High blood pressure and cholesterol are the 2 biggest risk factors for what we are doing here. Don't play around with them or dismiss their importance.
