Probably should have done this a while ago, sorry for my lack of etiquette.

Trained for 7 years or so through highschool and college. Work kind of took over my life, fell off, got real fat. Like real real fat. Got motivated to lose some weight a few times through my 30s. Would lose 40-60 pounds in a few months, then fall off training again due to traveling for work or various other life stresses.

Got real serious again about 4 years ago, stepped on the scale and saw 360lbs. Decided I needed to do something.

Started off with commiting to 2x20 minutes of exercise a week. Didn't matter if they were back to back, or 5 days apart. Just be consistent. Added another day of 20 minutes after a month. Sometimes it was weight training, sometimes cardio. Didn't matter. Just make it happen.

Got more serious. Built a squat rack in my garage and started training a few days a week. Got an air bike, I'd use it for active rest between sets. Lost a few pounds. Tried keto, hated it. Quit drinking 3 months into working out. Quit smoking a month later. Started just counting calories as I was used to doing before.

2 years in, lost 185lbs, got down to 175. At about 210lbs I went to a trt clinic and got my Test levels checked. They were in the ~40ng/dl range (not a typo). Hopped on TRT. Ran ~120mg/wk for about a year before I decided I didn't want to pay $250 for a vial of test, and wasn't happy with the basic labs they were ordering once every 6 months. About 8 months in I started learning more about what to look for from bloodwork. Started ordering my own every 8-12 weeks.

After leaving the TRT clinic I was on a few paywall forums with private sources. Got a few bunk vials and decided to get into making my own. I prefer having control over everything that goes into a batch and knowing the purity of the material used.

Learned quite a bit stalking Meso and reading. Ton of info here. Hope I can share what I've learned while still picking up new things from the others here. Thanks for having me.

Cheers.

Hey man,

Thanks for sharing your journey. It sounds like you are starting to find your groove.

Im new on here too. I have been reading from a far for a bit and decided to jump in yesterday and get more involved.

I got up to 336lbs at one point. Always bouncing up and down my whole life too but mainly after my 20's. I started again this year in January. Playing hockey at 320lbs was not cutting it. Plus injuries were piling up. Full commitment again. Im tracking food, working out 3 days a week, playing hockey 2-3 days, and i started taking peptides for the 1st time.

Those have helped big time so far. Im 302lbs in 23 dsys. Im just trying to navigate water and muscle loss better as many of the meds i take battle the water part.

Im not ready for the gear yet but I'm observing very closely. 1 step at a time. TRT was of interest to me as well. I have some friends who do it and love the results. My test was a bit lower and i applied at one point but didnt follow through with it.

Pretty cool you make your own. Was that hard to learn? I would love to make peptides but I would imagine that is very difficult.

Thanks man. And congratulations on making a positive change.

I'll be honest I had no idea about any peptides when I started. I came from the old bodybuilding dot com days and the hardest I went was taking Pro-hormones at the end of my lifting days in college. I thought they weren't anything more serious than test boosters but I was certainly wrong about that.

I got down about 150lbs or so before I knew anything about peptides or GLPs. I thought they were only used for diabetes medicine. Which I mean they are but obviously had no idea about the appetite suppression.

Towards the end of losing the weight I hired a coach and stuck with him for about 6 months. He taught me about Peptides and carb cycling, gear, GH etc. I'd pay for that education 100x over.

If I were you I'd try to keep some of the peptides locked away until things got much harder. You'd be surprised how fast and easy it'll be to lose the first 50-75lbs assuming that's your goal. After that when things start to get harder then I'd try to pull on the other levers.

As for gear, I'd hold off until you're fairly lean. The GLPs will do the heavy lifting for weight loss. The gear can help but if you're too heavy you'll have more sides than benefits. Obviously be aware of any pre existing conditions you might have. High Cholesterol, liver issues, kidney issues, heart issues, blood pressure issues. It'll exacerbate most of those.

This is a long game. Obviously I use gear and peptides because they help me get through things faster and take me to places I probably couldn't go without them. But be sure that what matters most (and I think you already know this) is consistency over time.

The difference between you and the way you want to look is sustained effort over time.

As for brewing. There's levels to these things. I'm no master brewer, and my setup would probably make some scoff because they have standards well beyond my own that they expect from a source. I make simple basic stuff and experiment with higher concentrations or harder to stabilize stuff for fun and only for myself. If you're just looking to make your own standard compounds at typical concentrations it's no more sophisticated than making a cocktail.

Usually 4 ingredients: API, Carrier oil, BA and BB. Recipes are readily available. Calculators are free and easy to use. Pour them in a beaker, put them on a hot plate with a magnetic stirrer, let it come to temp and wait for everything to dissolve. Suck it up with a syringe, put a syringe filter on with a new needle, buy some sterile vials to fill and vent them with a needle, then filter right into the vial and you're done. I usually fill a couple vials and stick one in the fridge to make sure the others aren't gonna crash.

I'm sure there's some more obvious steps along the way that I didn't add, like giving instructions to make a PB&J but you get the gist of it.

Finally, as for making your own Peptides.. some things are better left alone imo. Make the simple stuff yourself to save money and spend that money on the hard to make stuff. Like peptides, specifically GH and GLPs.
