I understand the economics of business is to make money, however we have a Nation to run here also, and we must hold Big Business to a higher standard so that we secure a future for our children.

That's exactly what I said. You think they owe you something. You think "society" is some wonderful thing that everyone should submit to. You're a collectivist.

Maybe businessmen don't give a fuck about your children. I know I don't.

And, obviously, you don't understand this as well as you think you do. If the middle class, which comprises the largest of the classes, disappears, then who is going to buy shit from the businesses? Nobody. It isn't in their interest to impoverish everybody.

And if you think the 9/hr phone operator jobs they're outsourcing to dotheads will make you middle class, then I'd sure as fuck like to live where you do.

You know, griz, I wasnt talking about MY children, I was talking about all American children, and if you don't give a fuck about Americas children, then you are stupider than your name implies.

I just get the feeling that you dont quite get what this is all about. And, to tell the truth I really dont care.

In closing,
The jobs we are loosing from outsourcing are not just silly little 9/hour jobs. We are loosing much more than that. Read this link, if you care to.

Hey, don't get mad. Grizz is a bit of a savage, as his name implies, but he's not stupid. He's just not a teddy bear type.

I wanted to comment on your post about my guys underbidding me and puting me out of work. First, I'll give you credit for trying to prove that capitalism is bad. But you didn't. I've had 20+ people leave me over the years and attempt to steal my customers, underbid me, etc. I don't get mad, because I'm good at what I do. I'll even go as far as saying I'm the best in my area. Of course, talented people who are driven to succeed love capitalism because it rewards competition.

Re-active people who find reasons that they haven't made it in life usually go for collective thinking socialistic governments that reward mediocre achievement.

So now trying to stand up for working class Americans is bad.
What a bunch of tools....

Next time you wife is raped, you have an intruder in your home or your house is on fire call a store manager to come over and save you....LMAO

And next time you have tuberculosis...uh, I don't know who to call. But I bet you complain aplenty about the high cost of medicine.....oh wait, you probably don't because your healthcare comes virtually free. But, maybe, as a good and socially conscious man, you complain for the sake of your class brethren who are getting fucked in the ass by the greedy doctors.

There's nothing more important than your health, nor anything more difficult to fix, but I bet you've never said that all doctors should get a raise.

..no you don't, you shop at Wal-Mart, which reinforces Wal-Mart's belief in that they are doing the right thing for the American consumer.

American's want the cheapest possible goods they can get their hands on. Get off of your "holier than thou" power trip that Americans would just love to pay more for their goods (as they would if it was truly 'made in America'), but that they are forced to shop at the evil empires.

Go to Wal-Mart, Target, or K-mart this weekend....they will be jammed packed with Americans trying to save a few bucks.

Businesses are beholden to the consumer much more than you think!! A business can only charge what the market will bear for their goods. If the guy down the street buys from a foreign firm and he beats your best price by 22% (because you are loyal to your American workers), you are out of business. People will not say "you know what??? I'm not going to buy from Frank because his stuff comes from China.....I'm going to buy from Bob even though he's much higher". It doesn't work that way. And what happens... Bob starts buying from the same foreign firm because he has to compete with Frank (becasue the consumer demands it by NOT buying his expensive goods). It only takes one domino to fall to cause a shitstorm.

If Americans would stop shopping at these places, the businesses would be forced to change their practices. But, when they post record sales quarter after quarter, they think they are doing something right.

...and according to the Commerce Department, the savings rate in the US is the lowest it has been since the Great Depression. Americans are spending all of their extra money because they see the value of their homes increasing greatly.

...but I highly doubt that all of these people are rushing out to spend all of this extra money on 100% American goods. Many of them go to wal-mart to save even more money.US Savings rate at lowest since Great Depression

...so the American comsumer does not "create an economic environment condusive to spending and SAVING."

Health care should be free for all Americans!!
I have no problem with Doctors and the pay they get......hell 1/4-1/3 of their pay goes to malpractice insurance.....Now I do have a problem with all the bull shit law suits in this country.

So you propose taking from me to pay for you. No, I really don't think that's a good idea. You have a right to life, not a right to the continuation of life.

Basic, life-sustaining medical care is free (in that the recipient of the care does not pay for the medical care at the time services are rendered...I pay for it in the form of my taxes) in this country. go into any hospital, and there will be signs that say just that.

This is a test post:

A B C D E

1 2 3 4 5

Can everyone read those?

Or am I friggin writing in Chinese here people?

Why would I advocate shopping in Wal-mart "esque" stores when I'm preaching against outsourcing and for American labor?

C'mon, be honest, are you just yanking my chain here?

People without insurance get free mecical now......did you know that most of the costs of insurance are to cover the uninsured....You walk into a hospital with a broken arm and no insurance...they have to fix it. I have no problem rewarding sucess ( we spend more on corporate welfare than welfare...so you must think that is ok also) .....but only a barbarian would deny basic mnedical care to the poor....you have to be a Republian.....it would be funny if you were Christian also.

Grizz, a Christian?

(laughing to self, :)but kind of sad because I think Grizz will go to hell when he dies, and I like him :( )

I was just called a collectivist... --by a bear--

...and I still dont know if thats a good thing or bad...

::scratching head::

I agree. We pay for the uninsured when the hospital corporations increase their fees. Furthermore, the insured will save the hospital (tax payers) a considerable amount of money. Why? Because its well known that the insured often practice precautionary care. Meaning, if during a cold they begin experiencing a burning sensation in their chest, more than likely, they will go in for a doctor's appointment, and receive anti-biotics.

However, the non-insured wait until they're near-death and enter the emergency room. So, you're looking at $300-$500 for the admittance, and a couple of $1000s of dollars for the treatment. And who pays? Yours truly!

Something that makes health care even more expensive for US citizens is the multitude of illegals that use our hospitals, clinics, etc. but don't pay their bills. Again, I know from personal experience that "my" immigrants have had babies, been treated for broken bones (not work related :)), and other typical health care treatment. But the kicker is they don't pay full price.

Apparently, the gov't has a special discount for them, because they don't show much income, they gov't foots something like 40% of their medical bills.

That's not good for us Americans...
