is accutane hair loss a real thing and cause of concern?

want to hop on accutane for skin. I use 2.5mg Dutasteride and RU for hair. I’ve seen some reports of some people complaining about hair thinning and hair loss after starting accutane. Is this an actual cause of concern? What’s the mechanism of this? Was thinking of just running 10-20mg ED. Gear is at 175mg a week Test atm (recovering hair and skin and blood markers and stopping some body fat atm).

I'm prone to hair loss and I've been taking duta for a year now which has stopped it, mostly (except while in cycle). I've started with low dose accutane (20 mg), been on it two months now and I haven't noticed any increased hair loss. So I'd say hair loss is something you shouldn't worry about with accutane.

Also, why 2.5 mg of duta? Looks like overkill. 1 mg a day should be plenty.

Telogen Effluvium. A pretty rare side effect, and appears to predominantly affect women.

I’m taking 140mgs a day right now and my hair is honestly better on accutane. Less greasy and all around less of a shit show.

I highly suggest reading through the “Accutane Permanent Cure?” Thread here on Meso. It has over 1K replies and has everything related to side effects, experiences on high vs low dosage cycles, and really just about anything you could ask for.
