Is heat even needed for homebrewing?

I think sterilization is one, and second would be to get the raws into solution faster, I think I would opt for heat rather then adding more solvent like EO, however maybe a little more stirring and time and you could get away without heat and EO?

Heat as little as necessary in the smallest increments possible.
I'll start by putting and mixing everything together, evaluate after 5 minutes. If it's mostly disolved, I'll keep stirring, if it needs a little bit of motivation to suspend, I'll put it on the lowest setting of a hot plate.
Some hormones are especially sensitive to heat, like Tren, so like I said, heat sparingly.

Tren is the only heat sensitive compound I know of. I always use around 150f and my brews never crash. I dont even use that much solvent

I don’t go over 50 C with every estered compound.. simply not need more hear, stirring speed near to 75% , and everything is in its right place

I don't blindly apply heat. I monitor it with a temperature probe and stir. Some raws will almost completely dissolve at ambient temperatures. I use heat everytime for about 20-30 minutes. As far as I know only Tren is a delicate snowflake that needs lower temperatures than everything else.
You have options. Make 2 10ml samples. One heated and one not heated. Pin both lol I'm gonna guess the one you don't heat is going to give you an experience you will never forget.

so the one you dont heat will more likely give you pip/knot/swelling etc etc??
also do you mind sharing what heats you use for each compound ?
I use just enough heat to help everything into solution a bit faster than cold mixing. This low heat also lets me put in the more volatile components (BB and BA) dead last right before I filter.

Yea you dont need heat but you may then need a ton time like over night. Never had a problem heating test cyp. Ive heard compounds with lower melting points can degrade with heat

Low heat is required especially if doing large batches. Some compounds like bold-cyp require low heat and hour or 2 of mixing to ensure it keeps stable.
Technically stuff like test-e/Nandro-deca don't require heat, but when doing large batches it would take DAYS for a kg of raw, chunky hormone to dissolve into the bb so low heat is required.
