No, people do it for business reasons all the time.

It's more suspicious to do it in a town you don't reside.

I use it like this for years and never had any problems, like ghoul said its mostly used by people who can't be at home that often bc of work etc.

Yes, can't be at home. But I'm going to rent one 1 mile from my house. Obviously I am home if I'm renting a box 1 mile away.

People do it to keep their physical address private, totally legit. You have to open in your real name though. ID is thoroughly checked.
