I used to despise cops in my country too, but then I moved to Thailand. The cops here make $100 US a month, have to buy their own guns and ride mopeds to chase criminals (fucking pathetic). If you stop to help at an accident that you werent in or didnt cause, the police will likely arrest you, tell you that you caused the accident and ask for a pay off. Also if you are caught with any drugs you are either locked up for life or shot on the spot, no trial to prove your innocence. The corruption in Thailand and many other countries makes the US criminal system seem close to perfect. A lot of people make a shitload of money because they sell stuff that is illegal. So the money goes hand in hand with the risk. If they get caught selling something illegal they should pay the price. If the laws werent there then they would be out of a job because their services wouldnt be needed. I dont get a chance to follow the American news here that much, but if Lewis did in fact sell or line up a deal then he deserves whats coming to him. They get the money and the fame, and therefore they are role-models and are held in higher regard than the average Joe Schmoe. If he is guilty I hope they make an example of him. Nobody is influenced by some jerk-off they dont know being busted because it likely doesnt make the paper, but if they see what can happen to a rolemodel and a serious sentence is laid out then maybe people will think twice. Most people love the money and the lifestyle and think they should be treated special then complain when they are made an example of.

I had no idea that Kerry was more liberal than Kennedy. Kennedy is still more repulsive IMO though. I also know that Kerry didn't vote very much, so maybe his liberal rating is not entirely accurate. Still alot to learn about Kerry!

Awesome..Glad to hear the group went well.. My mother saw the Passion tonight.. She said that she was very moved, and that even though the movie was very graphic and violent, she was happy that she saw it.. She also said that she didn't understand the contriversy, If movies like Nightmare on Elmstreet, and Friday the 13th get shown without contriversy..why would anyone care about this one??

She also said that she thought the whole antisemitism thing was way overblown. And didn't really get why people would have raised "such a Fuss" about it in the first place.
