My friend and I bought the same three raw drugs from the same supplier. I told my friend I was gonna test mine (and therefore give him some reassurance his are legit). He suggested we stick a bit of both of our batches together and get them tested as one.

Does this actually work? Obviously if the purity comes back like 30-70% we know one of our batches (but not which one) is legit, and the other fake. But other than that, are there any drawbacks?

No other than obvious drawbacks as far as I can tell.

Thanks for update. So you are developing your own in-house method for recovery of endotoxins from oil matrix prior to quantification similar to paper shared above?

Would appreciate your comments on that issue.

Yep.

It's pretty basic DMSO spike of standard to get recovery % and then LLE from oil to water emulsified, then centrifuged and supernatant pippetted off and tested.

Working on recovery %, different vortex times and centrifuge Gs to get optimal process so that we don't have to *ever* touch it again.

So far we're comfortably between 6 and 183%.

Still waiting to receive the results (about 4 weeks now). Every week, I’m told they’ll be ready, but there’s still no update.

Is there currently a problem with the endotoxin tests?

We expect results Monday - no kidding.

We had a delay because 1st test kit was bad, so we had to wait for replacement, then we spent 14 days validating the methods instead of anticipated 2-3 days and ran out of supplies.

Then the other kit was supposed to arrive Monday, but arrived yesterday afternoon.

Now today I was in no state to stand and pipette all day (endotoxin testing is heavy dependent on a lot of pipetting) because me and my middle son have pneumonia. And the only other person in the company who can run those tests by herself is on a holiday until tomorrow.

I apologize for the clusterfuck that is.

We can provide you with the results Monday and refund the tests too if you wish.
