Jose Canseco looks "Vindicated" after outing Alex Rodriguez in 2008 book
NJ.com
Here is one of the excerpts from "Vindicated," where Canseco discribes (in his words) how he introduced A-Rod to his supplier -- a man identified in the book as "Max." (Max was later revealed to be a Miami-area trainer, Joseph Dion.)
"He's a Christian man, a good man. A great man, actually," Rodriguez told the Associated Press about Dion. "I'm very friendly with Joseph. But I don't really see him that often. I've probably seen him this winter, four or five times in passing. ... In passing, [we talked] maybe three or four times a winter."
It should be noted that at numerous times in the chapter on Rodriguez (which begins on page 180), that Canseco states that he has had a personal grudge against A-Rod for some time.

The next day, Max called to thank me. He said that A-Rod had signed on. I didn't ask for specifics. I didn't ask if A-Rod had signed on to get trained, or to get his s--- from this guy. That wasn't my business.
When the report surfaced last April that "Max" was Dion, Rodriguez acknowledged that he did know him.
"He's a Christian man, a good man. A great man, actually," Rodriguez told the Associated Press about Dion. "I'm very friendly with Joseph. But I don't really see him that often. Now, as you may recall, I told you I had two reasons for not naming these guys. The second reason applies only to A-Rod, and I'm going to share it with you now: the reason I didn't include A-Rod in my first book is that I hated the b------. That's right. I hated him too much. For personal reasons that I'm going to explain. And I never made a secret of the fact that I hated him. I hated him so much, in fact, that -- if I'd included him in my first book, people would have questioned my motives. So I didn't name him. It was that simple. I didn't want my negative feels for A-Rod to muddy the waters.
Draw your own conclusions from what Canseco said in "Vindicated," but with the fall-out from his first book "Juiced" it looks like he's been cleared again
