Jr. Nationals question

Okay boys I just received my videotape of the 2003 Jr. Nationals. Sure I attended the show but nothing compares to getting the tape and looking at every competitor in full detail. From what I judge of all the competitors there were around 10 or 15 I see with full potential of going to the USA or Nationals and making top 10.

Out of that group I only saw around three or four competitors who has a chance of becoming pro in which one has already accomplished that, “Jimmy Canyon”.

Here’s the thing. To be consider “some sort of top gun at the Jr. Nationals” you’d have to at least place in the top five of your division. Top five gives you the “green light” to do your posing routine and it gives you a trophy.

What sort of “freaked” me out is that it appears after one through five the judges really don’t care how they place the competitors. I saw some guys who placed 12th or 15th that actually looked better than the guys who placed 8th or 10th. How in the hell can this be?

Do you guys think that after one through five the judges say “fuck it” too many competitors and we’d be here all night trying to meticulously place everyone so let’s just start throwing people in some sort of order?

What do you guys think of the placing after the first call out ( one through five)? Do you think the judges began randomly placing guys after that top five?
