Laser for tendonitis?

So I've used this doctor who has this fancy laser that has worked on my chronic back pain. It actually does work to reduce inflammation and I feel better the next day. Has anyone used this for tendonitis or tendon pain? I'm about at week 10 and my right bicep is at best 50% its normal strength after I injuied it with too many 50lb db hammer herlad curls a few weeks back : ( I've lost almost half an inch off the bis : ( I might come off cycle early cause of it.

I've had bad tendinitis in my bicep tendons when I have overworked them in the past. The inflammation is caused by a hormonal response in your body (cortisol I believe, but I might be wrong) and fluid increases in the overworked ruptured areas of your tendon causing swelling and pain. As it is a natural hormonal response, there really isn't anything you can do to stop it apart from training a little lighter. Try lower weights or fewer reps, if the pain lasts more than 24 hours I would say you are definitely over training and you are destroying your tendons faster than they can repair. It really sucks to say this, but perhaps 50lb is your natural limit for your tendons.

Ya I've only been able to hit them light and absolutely cannot hang all the way down and than curl up. It's really frustrating and will most likely take the better part of a year to heal. Fuck!

Sounds good but not too sure about the long term effectiveness of the laser treatment. Rest and time are the only cure for the issue.

I've broken my left wrist years ago and those cheapo wrist sleeves from Wallymart helped me a lot for bench. Close grip kills it but with the sleeves it helps me be able to do CGBP again with little to no pain or instability.

I'm carpenter so I swing a hammer for a living. I've been lifting for a long time and the only thing that ever helped me with tendon issue was when I looked up an ART/Graston specialist in my area and let them go to work on my spots. I also learned from Donnie Thompson about some movements I could do with a band to help with building the areas needed to avoid further pain and you know what it worked. When I stop doing to work though like anything I loose the reward. Donnie has videos on youtube. Good luck and I hope this info helps you.
