Leg Day!!

I'm a lean fella. 5'11" tall at 198-205lbs at the moment. Currently approaching the end of week 4 of pct. I feel great, my mood has levelled out, acne clearing up, and my motivation to push harder through each rep is rising each session; feels great.

Tonight was leg day. I've been hitting legs more often as I had an MCL injury many months ago and it took some time to rehabilitate.

That's back to normal and I'm not scared to bust chops, so today I decided to go a little harder. Ended up getting 315 for 8, after 2 sets of 245x10. Heaviest I've gone the past 2-3 months was 225x10 for 4-5 sets; ass to grass. I know those numbers arnt anything to write home about, but it was a HUGE step forward for myself in terms of confidence and motivation. I'm hungry.

Can't wait to see if I can safely keep pushing myself. I don't want to overtrain but lately I've just had a leg high! I always want to do legs!

Finished off with dumbbell lunges 10 steps/foot 75-80-85lbs, crushed the quads heavily with 4 sets of pauses, and demod the hammies/calves to the point where my walk resembled an unfortunate Prison Guard from OZ.

''Twas a good night :)

Edit: I'm not sure if this should be posted in the training section. My apologies if it should; feel free to move it!

Good to hear you recovered from your injury and your back training legs again. Those are some decent numbers! Keep up the good work!

Thank you fellas. A pat on the back does feel good once in a while :p. All of this was done with my belt as well, anything over 225ish I add a belt.

I have to say, I think frequent foam rolling has sped recovery up. I don't feel as tight; muscles feel more independent and free.

Congrats. More people need to learn to love working their legs. Anything over 5 reps in a set seems a little crazy to me though, lol.

Thank you sir. I find a leg high just as enticing as chest/biceps. From what I've read you're more of a power lifter was that you? Lol if so I get the 5 rep thing lol.

When I try to really aim for more hyperteophy and overall strength I rely on my 6x6 routine.

MCL sucks dude such a shit recovery, hardest part for me was getting past the fear of doing a leg work, glad to hear your feeling better.

That's me, I train almost entirely for strength most of the year besides a little hypertrophy in the off season. Although I eat pretty clean and stay fairly lean for equal parts vanity, staying in a weight class and also the amount of food I have to eat to really put on a ton of weight makes my life miserable.

I've come to really enjoy doing legs, too. Didn't for a long time until I figured out what worked and got better at it. I greatly prefer working legs to arms.
