So, this is my prosthetic. Below the knee amputation of my right leg. My prosthetic guy did a good job making it look pretty cool.
After gaining some confidence, in the new leg, I started out lifting on machines. This helped me gain some strength, but I’m still a little unstable with free weights. A few reasons 1) feeling starts just below the knee , not through my foot anymore. 2) the prosthetic foot is curved and pushes my body weight forward 3) stabilizing the leg’s side to side motion during squats and deadlifts is difficult.
anyone else have similar experiences? I’m looking for some helpful hints/tips to get the most out of my leg days.
