Lipids while on cycle

Does anyone else ever test their lipids while on a cycle? My Wife just plumb flipped out on me after looking at my test results, lol. Remember she is an RN. So do any of you have your lipid profile done while on cycle and if you do does it show up high? Mine were high my last cycle to but they came back down.

Boiler, my man, pleasure to type at you once again. Hope all is well down in the deep south.

I am curious, where did you order your bloods through? And was it a panel of some sort? The female hormonal panel most of us order includes the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, the CBC, estradiol, and testosterone. But it does not include the lipids.

Oh, and of course Mrs. Boiler was agitated! This would be like the wife of an auto mechanic driving around with the temp gauge sitting all the way in the hot zone, with a grinding noise happening every time she hit the breaks (pads completely gone), ignoring a wobbling noise coming from the front wheels, and black smoke coming through the air vents. Lol

I had bloodwork done twice my last cycle. My lipids Defiantly varied. 4 weeks in running 600mg of test and 40 mg of dbol my hdl was 21. Four weeks later after stopping dbol I got re tested while keeping test at 600 my hdl was up to 50. Prob going to stay off orals for awhile. Total cholesterol was around 210.

orals can really mess up your liver, so you should check your liver values, lipids etc.

I do this at least twice a year

I personally do not care to check the test levels because I have always the shit tested before taking so I know what to expect but liver, lipids are very important

I got the hormone panel for males from labsmd. It tests PSA also and my wife is an RN at a cancer center so she makes me get my PSA almost every time and she wanted me to have my lipid panel checked again because it was high a while back during a cycle. But usually I get the female panel just like you all. But now that my wife is getting more involved I imagine that I'll be getting cholesterol and PSA checked more frequently to satisfy her.

It sucks because NY is one of like 5 states that doesn't allow the use of direct labs or other like that. I was just fortunate two see two different doctors last cycle and requested labs. Usually it's just twice a year through primary.

That does suck man. Sorry to hear that, but at least you are getting yourself checked out [emoji106]

I always check my lipids. They are not very good off cycle... On cycle they're a disaster. 250 total with an hdl of like 20. All bad.

For those fellas wishing to monitor their lipids, you can do so for about $43 through privatemdlabs (after 15% coupon) or for about $51 through labsmd.

Thanks Boiler for bringing awareness to this, for those of us that haven't been as vigilant about it as we should. A lot of guys would have been embarrassed or uncomfortable posting these results, but like the old saying goes, if it helps even just ONE member, it was well worth sharing it.

You're a real good dude, Boiler... but we already knew that!

it is not just lipids but liver values even more important, which might indicate serious liver problems

there are always a few waiting for liver donor after doing heavy oral cycles

My liver values went way up on my last Dbol cycle a couple years ago. I don't touch orals anymore. Just not worth it to me.

I've checked my lipids on cycle and regularly with my doc. On cycle with var, Adex, npp, and test on board; HDL 68, LDL 202 total was 284. Have to keep in mind all AAS lower HDL and raise LDL. In the case mentioned above arimidex also raises LDL. So I'm cautious about blindly popping Adex for every little remote symptom of gyno. Estrogen also plays a role in a healthy heart. Also, like you I'm done with orals.

My total cholesterol isn't great off cycle (225 baseline) but the mix usually keeps my doc from prescribing medication (high HDL, low triglycerides, LDL /HDL ratio). Two months after the cycle mentioned above LDL dropped from 202 to 171 and HDL increased from 68 to 77. So, it's slowly getting back to normal.

BM, Good of you to check your lipids on cycle. I made the mistake of taking my wife to my doc appt years ago (cholesterol follow up). Needless to say, it was months before she purchased red meat again. Almost cost me my marriage (just kidding). Damn doctor told her it should be a special occasion when I can eat red meat!

I'm on cruise n blast. Cruise 200 per week. However, this was about 35 days in on 500mg test and 5 days in on 50mg dbol. Lipids at the bottom.
