Anyone familiar with these? What's the verdict?

Lipo-C compounded injection contains;

  • Methionine 25mg/mL
  • Inositol 50mg/mL
  • Choline 50mg/mL
  • Methylcobalamin 1000mcg/mL
  • L-Carnitine 200mg/mL
  • B-Complex 100mg

A lipotropic injection, by golly that's impressive because with a name like that (literally meaning "fat changing") it has to work!

Try Googling each ingredient to determine for yourself if any of the listed ingredients METABOLIZE FAT individually or in combination.

My biased opinion, it's just another unproven supplement whose sole purpose is to enhance the manufacturers profits based on grossly extrapolated "evidence" at best.

My wife tried them i dont have the ingredients on hand but they gave her a little energy and made her bitchy. Not much else though, any weight she lost was from her diet and about two hours of cardio she was doing at the time. Needless to say we never bought them again. There isnt anything thats gonna work like a magic pill. The closest thing i found is prescription and for obese people, lots of sides and the most common and worst one is anal leakage. Literally all the reviews from chicks said their panties had shit in them and terrible gas. If you think you can deal with that go for it but i wouldnt lol

Thanks for the feedback! I have no ideals that it would be a magic pill for fat loss but interesting study/claims about liver protection and help with fatty liver. Along with possible energy help. I was hoping you would comment DrJ and GUN I must say that input is a bit disturbing lol.

Thanks again

@Dr JIM I did extensive Internet research before posting just fyi. I am also always leary of the supplement industry, one of the biggest fraud industries in America. I always heard B12 shots were good so I figured this is that plus so may be decent. Thanks again for taking the time to give input.

The fact that its an injection makes one think it must be special. Is this for you or your girl? My wife has lost a lot of weight before with adapex kinda like adderal i guess. it gives her energy and seriously suppreses her appetite. But of course she still had to do her part and eat a low calorie diet, but it did help her, she could eat a small salad late in the day and complain about how full she was.

Me & possibly her (she isn't into injections). My Dr. Offered pretty good pricing. Yeah the stimulant stuff works for sure, I've used it. The Wife not so much. Thanks @xgunx

@Michael Scally MD you have more than my respect as I have spent many hours reading your post both here and other outlets to know you are very well informed. Those are very strong comments so Im paying attention! Does it have any health/nutritional value?

Also to add to this conversation - anyone familiar with Defy medical?

If Defy is hawking this stuff, that is very disappointing since I know of them. They have jumped the shark on this one.

B-12 shots were the rage several years ago and like most FADS it too became known as Voodoo medicine since there is/was no evidence to support indiscriminate therapy of this nature.

Same issue with Vitamin C, E, Zinc etc.

And some wonder why many BB believe MORE IS BETTER!

True, kind of what sucks about the whole supplement/medical landscape right now. You have to filter through the false claims & propaganda and the stuff that is actually proven beneficial is illegal or priced out of reach.

Wanna lose fat? The only proven successful long term treatment is diet, exercise as a part of a change in lifestyle.

Liposuction is a close second in some respects, such as the only effective means of FOCAL fat reduction.

Thanks @Dr JIM, I've lost about 80lbs the past 2 years with that exact method (minus lipo suction).
The Lipo C injections intrigued me more for the liver health & energy but was curious about the fat loss also. Ephedrine not bad either but don't like the sides.
