I have been off finasteride for 16 months.

Symptoms: very poor semen, low sex drive, no morning/ night/ spontaneous erections, penile numbness, anxiety, brain fog / unsettled feelings, can't sleep more than 3-4 hours

Treatments tried: pregnenolone, T3, proviron, dexamethasone

20 years old
5'10
161 pounds/ athletic build

Diet: lots of green veggies, eggs, meat, yogurt - very little sugar/ processed foods
Supplements: pharmaceutical grade fish oil, jarrow probiotics, NOW spirulina

Have tried anti candida diet and paleo diet for brief spells

I am in the UK and at the minute do not have a doctor. I intend to hunt for a good doctor within London very soon - i really just want to get blood tests from them, but even then they won't be very comprehensive.

I have been thinking about trying low dose clomid - is this a good/ bad/ terrible idea?

I`ve never heard of clomid used for this purpose but we are not sure exactly what, if any, permanent changes 5-reductase inhibitors makes in the body. You think it reduces endogenous T. I believe that if your endogenous T was ok before 5-R then clomid might help.
Ya outta read the side effects first tho.
Serum Tmax is 21/2 hrs.
T1/2 is 8hrs???
titrate the dose up

There have been a couple of recoveries from people using clomid along with thyroid meds such as t3 and t4.

HI Madlib.

I took low dose clomid for my post finasteride issues. 25mg daily for 5 weeks. It seemed to raise my test quite a bit and I even developed some muscular growth but I didn't notice any increase in libido. I am planning on running it again at the same dose for 3 months and seeing what happens. Unfortunately I can't get labs cos my endo just didn't have a clue and I was constantly being asked to wait 6 months and we'll do more tests etc etc and the years were passing by so I tried clomid without his sanction. I didn't want to get to 40 before we actually tried anything. Anyway all of a sudden my test numbers were up and that was that, no more endo appointments despite feeling that same. My test went from bottom of the normal range to just under half way.

Now I'm going it alone. I'm gonna take clomid for 3 months and pay for a blood test privately and take a look at my numbers. I pray that I feel normal again with this protocol and stay that way. I will possibly take zinc as well as a mild anit aromatase.

Anyway, good luck to you

I am on it at 12.5 mg per day for a couple of months. Also using low dose hydrocortisone and synthroid.

Oh and Naltrexone too.

Big time experienced Clomid user here. On TRT now. Clomid will raise T, but make you feel like a moody bitch and will kill any sex drive you have left. The only thing it did for me was fake my training better at the gym as far as gains and increased my T from the 500 range to over 700 on a low dose. But the sides are not worth it.
