I store all of mine in the refrigerator. Some say you don't have to do this. I'm an old dog and figure the fridge is a safe bet always in preserving and extending shelf life. My understanding is it's good for 18 to 24 months.

I believe I was cruising the forums and observed a posting where it was confirmed this isn't necessary. I haven't come back across that particular posting however.
