Magnesium intake

Interesting thread. I only take 400mg mag glycinate in the PM but reading these posts I might add more. Does it make you guys sleepy if you take an AM dose or do you just take it all at night?
Usually all at night, theoretically the Glycine in the Glycinate would help sleep so it makes more sense (atleast to me) to take it around then

Magnesium won’t make you sleepy. It will help you get better quality sleep if you’re deficient though, which something like 60% of people (in the US) are.
 
I take 210mg at night. Sometimes i'll double it to 420mg and add in a potassium supplement if I eat a salty dinner. This helps prevent sodium blow up and with a ton of water i'll piss it all out over night while avoiding blood pressure spikes.

For those of you on multiple compounds, how many mg of magnesium are you supplementing daily? I'm currently on 250mg test c, 4mg reta, 3iu hgh, which seemingly all increase magnesium need for varying reasons. Been taking 200mg in AM and 200mg before bed, but considering upping it.

Testosterone - accelerated protein synthesis and ATP hydrolysis
Retatrutide - glucagon agonism and diuresis
HGH - GH to IGF-1 production process and subsequent anabolic signaling process and GH sodium retention (while reta is promoting sodium excretion)
When I maxed out my reta dosage at 10mg per week, I was getting really really bad orthostatic hypotension. AKA i'd black out from standing up too quickly. I had to start supplementing salt of all the things alongside potassium and magnesium in order to prevent this.
I'm back down at 4mg now and dietary salts are enough to keep me going but I still supplement potassium in the morning and magnesium at night.

Reta induced severe natriuresis in me, and my sodium dropped to 132... hated that stuff. Tirz induces natriuresis but to a much lesser extent. I still supplement a ton of sodium on it, I literally pee it all out so fast...

That glucagon stuff is still so rough. Tirz is so much smoother IME

It's also harder to stay "full" on them, I feel constantly ever so flat since starting, Reta was worse
