The undercover officer arranged several purchases from Herstein.
He was arrested Dec. 12 when deputies and investigators took him into custody after watching him make a delivery of steroids, Smith said. Police seized more than 1,100 pills and eight bottles of the injectable drug.
Although the arrest took place Dec. 12, police did not release information on it until today.
Herstein is due Jan. 5 in Carmel Town Court. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison and fines up to $10,000, Smith said.
