Mega Sickness Report - Almost Died from Flu

Since we are doing anecdotal science here I’ll throw in my two cents: I get every goddamn vaccine available to me every year and have never suffered any negative effects from them. I’ve also never been put on my ass by flu like OP. So there you have it, a data point.
I think the data on the flu vaccine is fairly self evident. It’s hilariously safe as far as medications go, like hard to beat safety record, it also is ~eh~ effective as a vaccine (changes year to year) as compared to other vaccines.

For me that makes it an easy yes in the risk/reward square, incredibly low risk and medium reward. It also means I’m not incredibly motivated to get it and will forget some years, but would never turn it down if offered or if I remember to get it.

Tamiflu won’t hurt to take, but it’s not going to do much other than reduce your symptoms by a day. Best thing for prevention is get the flu vaccine and do the basic self care like washing hands, etc.
I agree it's not a great replacement for not getting the flu in the first place, but a full day of symptoms off the flu (and a corresponding lower height of peak symptoms to begin with) is pretty dang impactful if you get bodied by the flu. For the OP it very well could've been the difference from being out for a week and being still very sick but coherent throughout and only being out for 4-5 days.

when i feel off, like i had the start of something about two weeks ago , scratch in throat runny nose etc, i just "MEGA dose" Vitamin c every two hours,,,, Seems to work

How much exactly is mega dose?
During this time of year I usually take 2-3g per day vit C and to be honest I think it does jack shit...

For me, up to 5g is fine. It depends on the person and their ability to tolerate VitC. People report facial flushing and bowel irritation from it. Possibly you could take even more than 5g.

Usually my stack against the flu consists of a drink I take multiple times (3 or 4) times a day:

1800mg NAC
3-5g VitC
1g taurine
(Magnesium citrate)

and important, Glycine (10g) at night. Glycine is many times the bottleneck in glutathione production, since our diet shifted away from the meat parts closer to the bones. You could even sip on some glycine over the day, should be even more effective.

Sodium Ascorbate (buffered form of Vit C they use in IV’s). 1/4 tsp =1100mg of Vit C. Take every hour until you have massive diarrhea when sick. Pay attention to dosage and then stick to the upper end of that dosage before it gives you the squirts.

Vit D, Quercetin, and Zinc.

This is a stack I heard from Dr. Ronda Patrick during Covid for virus defense / immune boost.

Perhaps more than any med, time is of the essence with this one.

Shipping delays or in a mass outbreak and resulting shortages, having this on hand is a must.

I consider this one of 5 "Save my own life" meds.
since you are back now ;) which are the rest of your top 5? :D
I wonder, since back in 2021 a 'viral medicine' entered the market with a sort of similar name, (starts with an R and then emdisi...) which apparently wreacks havoc on kidneys so it seems. is that not the case with this compound?

The flu
Flu came on hot and heavy, within about 6 hours I was bedding down with wet cloth on my forehead Sunday night last week thinking I'll have Monday off work.

I woke up yesterday morning and had no recollection of the trip to the hospital Tuesday that turned into overnight stay with IV fluids, an ice bath and release with strict instructions to bring me back or call 911 if temp went up again. Was tested for the COVID and it was not it. They took blood, hemo was up and kidneys a bit stressed.

GF reported to me that the following was going on.
- was having a deep and meaningful mumbles with a guy that's been dead for 10 years on and off the entire time I was out.
- I was stoked on my dog that's been dead for years being with me the entire time, I thanked the GF for feeding her.
- there was questions this am about a girl named Nadia I was talking too, thats my buddies 5 year old daughter that died from cancer like 10 years ago.

Fever lasted Sunday night and went all the way until Saturday evening bouncing around 38-40C. I was put in an ice bath at home 6-8 times, forced to sit in the shower a few times. Sweated through blankets, sheets and the mattress was soaked to the point it's on the deck getting some air right now.

Saturday afternoon a friend of a friend came and gave me an IV at home with colloidal silver and Vit C. Within about 30 mins the fever broke and I was alert and can only really explain it like j was suddenly awake. With near zero memory of the last weeks trails. She then gave me 20mg ivermectin orally and 12mg 2D for 5 days.

There was some times I was semi lucid and was able to talk and then drift off again apparently, had a buddy come around and we chatted, I briefly remember him being here.

Today I was told there's a dead guy my age in Vancouver BC Canada, home alone just got in bed and didn't have a Miss Swanson and died. Younger woman Victoria BC died from turbo fever flu, hospital worker of some sort. Another one at a mine site my buddy works at went back to his hotel and died there the following day.

Im fit as fuck and if my GF wasn't hear working to keep me hydrated and temp down I'd have been dead no doubt. I'm 80% today... Very thankful for her demure feminine nature, she had a huge cry about it when we got up this morning and I was walking about.

Play safe fellas, if you get the flu or some shits fucked up like this don't just try walk it off. I've never been sick like this in my life, it was not a joke. Without someone here for me I'd have been in trouble.

Check in on your friends and family, they might need you!
Hey, bro. I don’t have a whole lot to say except I’m glad you are ok. I know you saw what I went through and we both experienced a few similar things. Shit was scary for me and I know it was for you too. It definitely pays to be hyper aware of symptoms associated with any type of infection because they can begin to spiral out of control very quickly. Don’t ignore the signs. If you know something isn’t right and you can’t get a straight answer, pester your provider until they order more in-depth tests or send you to a specialist. Life can be taken from us at any moment.

you have to "rub" @Ghoul just right for him to "reveal" his secret weapons , beyond the tons of great information he provides already,,

I filtered my retatrutide 3 times in the dark while reciting "aggregates" 11 times in the mirror, hoping a Wild Ghoul shall appear to answer the question.

I also got the most recent immunogenicity paper tattooed, in its entirety (including appendices), across my entire body.

Now for the love of God, Ghoul, tell me what I should stock up on so I can get a dopamine rush throwing crypto at my favorite Indian vendor and checking the tracking number manically?!?!

@HeatherSwanson God bless the nurturing nature of our better halfs. It sounds like you were very dehydrated, and your girl likely saved your life. You might want to start ring shopping. ;) just sayin.
Thanks for sharing.

There are those that can see, those that can see when shown, and those that cannot see. (and never will) Don't let anyone fearmonger you.
I'd trust Tracy from QSC, (lol) before I trusted the gov/pharma.

BTW - Not a single gov shot and I've never died.

My girls amazing, seriously. If she wasn't around I'd have got in bed and that would have been it. She was shook up about it for over a week and she's an emotionally sturdy woman.

Lol at Tracy before big daddy gov, agree.

Just came across this thread looking for info on night sweats.
I keep:

amoxicillin - gum and tooth infections and anything else above the neck. Strep, sinus

My wife can’t take anything penicillin related. She’ll go into anaphylactic shock. So…

Z-Pack- azythromycin Sinus, lung infections

Clyndamycin - anything female/ reproductive related.

Ciprofloxacin- STIs, anthrax, typhoid, plague. Most end of days type bacteria.

Ivermectin- anything worm, fungal

There’s a lot more that these treat and some are interchangeable. It’s just what I have on hand in a Go Bag in an emergency.
I’ll always go to the Dr first, especially with my children to get a diagnosis, but in my experience it’s better to have and not need (among other things) than to need and not have. Just my 2 cents.

Yep! After getting the flu so damn much past few years ive decided this year im starting to get vaccinated. Its just BS how much the flu can influence you, and since ive been going to this very popular gym theres no way to avoid an infection each winter. Not to mention we had some bad luck in our city with multiple flu strains floating around simultaneously So you could be sick twice in a row!

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have anti-flu retroviral kits on hand. By the time most people get them, they've missed the window where they can be effective. they have to be taken as soon as flu symptoms appear.

"Osaltamavir"

PCT24 has them,

I am fairly certain I got the flu this year. Hard to say because i am vaccinated. Symptoms were so mild that I can’t really be sure it was the flu, but timing worked with several unvaccinated friends being on their ass with it for over a week.
