Hey guys, first time long time. I plan on making a small batch of trestolone for a little experiMENT (see what I did there?) and I had a question. Just how necessary is a magnetic stirrer? I have some of what I need and the rest will be ordered soon. But do I need to drop the extra $60 on something that I’ll likely never use again? This is a one-time brewing and while I don’t mind spending the money on things I need, I’d like to avoid throwing away extra cash if possible. Any and all answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ya if you’re only ever brewing once, then no I wouldn’t bother buying one. But if you were planning multiple brews a year then a hot plate with magnetic stirrer is absolutely worth every cent.

It’s not necessary, but you’ll have to stand there and stir it yourself whereas the magnetic stirrer allows you to set-it and forget-it. For a one time thing it doesn’t make sense.

Stir it with your cock. One set. Count each full revolution as a rep.



You're going to filter it afterwards, fuck it, use a spoon or a butter knife. i don't think it would be a big deal.
