Any of you guys have any recommendations for a crime series/ character? I have been through all the Harry Bosch stories by Michel Connolly as well as the Jack reacher stories by Lee child. Looking for another character with some numbers behind them. Getting sick of having to wait for the next books to come out

I have really enjoyed Preston & Child's Pendergast series of books. It's kind of a blend of Sherlock Holmes and X files. I haven't read any books by Lee Child yet but I keep getting the recommendation to read them based off of my interest in Pendergsst series... So I assume they're a bit similar. There's about 20 of them now, so they'll keep you busy for at least a few weeks. :)

Thanks I just ordered the first two.

I'm a few behind. I think Ghost Story was the last one I read. I'm gonna have to get caught up soon.

I just started book six of the Codex Alera series also by Jim Butcher. I'm really enjoying it.

I’m on book 7 of the Dresden files. I enjoy the series but it’s getting repetitive. Can only binge read so many books in the series before needing a break.

Sounds like you would like the “Iron Druid” series. I absolutely did!

I had to do the same with Jack Reacher series—read a couple of other genres then come back to it and it was fine.

Need some recommendations for the next fantasy series to start listening to on Audible while I'm at work. Finishing up The Black Company series by Glen Cook right now.

@Perrin Aybara i don’t have a fantasy series but I finished up the bill Hodges series from King. It was pretty good. Doesn’t get King like till the third book so that was a little weird but interesting. I’m halfway through the institute and that’s pretty good. I read some fiction and then go non fiction. Keep bouncing back and forth to try and keep it interesting.

Stephen King series? I guess I was unaware of that one. I heard Institute was good.

The Stand was the only Stephen King book I enjoyed. Probably on my top 5. I like his sons book too: Joe Hill - NOS4A2

anything by Richard Laymon is great if you’re into gore horror. Jeremy Bates - Worlds Scariest Places is awesome. Enjoyed every single one.

I have a thing for horror. In fact my entire library is dedicated to it

Desperation was probably the scariest Stephen King book in my opinion.

I've really wanted to ask if that's where you got your handle. I wanna say he came out with a book of shorts but I can't remember off the top of my head.

I need to catch up on The Dresden Files too. Either Ghost Story or Cold Days was the last one I read. James Marsters reads the audiobooks, which makes me want to listen to them more and start from the beginning.
