Messed up my Androgel prescription

My doc wrote me a script for Androgel. I could have SWORN that he said to use it twice a day, meaning one box would last me 15 days. It turns out that he wanted me to use it once a day (one box, one month). Did I miess things up by doubling the dosage? If I start with 1/day will that be ok?

I'm having my blood work done next week, so we'll see then how I've responded.

How do you feel most of the men I have talked to don't do good on 5 grams of Androgel. If you feel good call your Dr. and tell him what you did and get a new scrip.

You may want o wait 2 weeks before you get your tests done for the t levels to stabilize.

If you are truly looking to get normal test levels my advice would be to simply tell the doctor exactly what happened. He can then determine when you should test etc instead of him having to play a guessing game with your blood test results.

At this point I suppose its feasible he may want to go ahead and test your levels on 10gm a day since you have already done it. You are certainly well into the treatment far enough for the serum levels to have stabilized. From my understanding it is not very common however to get that kind of dose for true HRT.

Either way complete honesty with your doc is a good idea. This hormone balance thing is very complex and its hard for them to get you tweaked anyway.........add unknown variables and you make their job impossible.
