when you sleep, fat breakdown occurs to provide energy to bulid muscle. each muscle you work needs to rebulid some while you sleep, thus some fat must be broken down. to say not to bother doing abs when BF is high is ridiculus. You will not get them to show without changing diet, but working them hard most days will add to fat breakdown in that area. a simple day of poor eating could replace all that was burned the night before, but IMO each little bit i get out is a huge help.
The first thing to be broken down and used will be carbs my man thus is the reasoning behind empty stomach a.m. cardio. That's all i'll contribute here.....

i am talking catabolic state, not metabolic like during workouts. you guys could not be more wrong, open a bio or human phys book.

Dude, you straight up said working your abs will cause fat to be lost from the area; ie. spot reduction. You also said that fat breakdown occurs to build muscle. News flash! The only, let me repeat ONLY, nutrient that builds muscle is protein. Follow your own advice and open a book. :)
