You need to find exercises that mimic the striking movements as close as possible. Cables are good, because you can mimic punching type movements. Leg presses, leg extensions and leg curls mimic roundhouse, side and hook kicks. Medicine ball training is good for core workouts, when I went to a boxing gym this was highly stressed. Cardio sprints are the type of cardio that a fighter wants. If your running a track, sprint the straight stretches and jog the turns, this mimic a combination being throwed and movement around the ring. As for as grappling goes neck type exercises are a must they can be neck bridges, or some other neck work, I liked the neck harnass. Back work using pull-ups used for throwing type movements. Work on flexibility exercises more then anything. When I was in judo you had to have alot of hip flexibility along with shoulder flexibility. Royce Gracie has a weight training book out and the last time that I saw this was at a Barnes and Noble, maybe check with Amazon.
