Moda/Armodafinil BP and RHR

When taking modafinil and/or armodafinil has your blood pressure and/or resting heart rate gone up?
If so how long do they stay raised after discontinuing?

The blood pressure raise is a known side effect from them and not normally enough to warrant discontinuing (unless your BP is already very high?) but haven't seen any info on how long the effect lasts for.

I've been on 200mg Modafinil for a while now. Zero effect on both and I monitor them closely.

Maybe if you take more than that? I've taken 300mg moda and got headaches. Keep in mind I take 25-50mg metoprolol per day and 40mg telmisartan.

I'm prescribed 400mg Moda a day for idiopathic hypersomnia.

I only take 300mg in the AM unless I'm especially tired, since 400mg for me tends to give headaches and a mild crash later.

There may be some ~5 BPM elevation in RHR, and mild increase in BP.

You have to experiment to find the right dosage for you -- I'd suggest trying 100/200/300mg on consecutive days.

The increase in BP/RHR are transient and due to acute effects of the drug. As soon as serum blood concentrations are low enough your vitals will return to baseline.
