More food on cycle = more growth?

Rice, as in Jasmin rice, or other rices, such as brown rice? Have you tried cream of rice? These are two easily digestible forms. Also, Rice Krispies (don't laugh until you read the ingredients list).

I had no idea Graham Crackers had so much protein. 9 grams of protein for a graham cracker meal at meal 5. I think we have unlocked the secret to bodybuilding success.
Trust me man I’ve tried it all and every time it ends up destroying my digestion. Took me a long time but I finally found what works for me and what my body is able to digest.

Graham crackers are a must have for me bc I am in love with honey graham crackers. A pack of them (winco brand) is 585cal 9g protein and taste incredible. Easy calories and good way to get extra carbs in. (13.5g fat each pack as well)

@mrsloppyboo have you considered just staying where you stall and just keep eating 4000 calories a day with minimal fat gain? sure as hell you're growing nicely with 600g of carbs. even if its not on the scale

I have and it was more of a recomp than anything. Strength kept steadily going up but I just wasn’t adding size like I wanted to. Would rather push a real bulk than just recomp. I want to add some serious size and in the meantime as long as I’m not too fat to run gear then I don’t really care how I look, although I should say I look like a total sikkint at the moment I’m the most cut and aesthetic muh fuka in the gym rn

imma be real with you, you probably were doing it right at 4000 calories and just needed to stay there. just blowing up isnt a thing adding serious size is done after newbie gains and first cycle.

I thought .5-1lb of weight gain per week was what everyone should shoot for to continue adding mass?

if your weight is truly stalling at 4000 calories, add in 100-200 calories a week until it moves around 0.5lbs a week if thats your goal. i dont see how it goes from 0>fat is what im saying. and if that is truly right you should properly work around your circumstances and keep adding muscle at 4000calories until you can go further. As long as you look better in the mirror it dosent really matter what the mirror says. I dont believe you can keep adding strength if you're training like a bodybuilder and not getting bigger over time

Utter nonsense, especially in later cycles.

First of all, you throw on a bunch of water weight early.

Then it stalls out.

As you grow, it is tougher to add size.

A pound a week, so, just keep going, that is 52 pounds a year, and in ten years, I will have added 520 pounds. Hooray!

Ah good point there my friend. When growing in later cycles it’s completely normal to stay around the same weight after you blow up from water/glycogen but continue to “recomp”?I think I’m going to stop listening to people on Reddit they really fuck with my perception of what is attainable in a certain time phrame

If your strength is going up, then you are growing muscle.

Are you doing enough volume? Higher reps and such? Or are you doing a powerlifter type workout?

Time under tension, exhaustion, and progression will equal larger muscles over time.

I think, again, maybe, that your expectations for a short period of time are too high.

Mr Olympia type physiques are not made in one cycle. Or in one month. Or in one year.

You keep talking about one cycle like, hey, if I stretch it out to 24 weeks will I win the Olympia?

Maybe a little more patience is in order.

You will grow. But you need to give your muscles time to grow. And it takes time. You can add only so much muscle in a short period of time. Any additional weight is just a bunch of water and fat.

60 pounds and all of this that you are talking about - to add that much muscle takes years of serious effort. You need to get real.

I always thought I was an under responder or I had bad genetics.

Turns out I just had unrealistic expectations and wasn't willing to put in the effort required.

It's good to get these wake up calls. Especially since everyone is trying to sell something.

I think the only real way to track as you've said is the weight on the bar going up. I will read that thread you posted of the pro on my days off. Maybe I'll just quit and go on TRT permenatly....

I think it's good to make a rational decision if what you want warrants the effort.

this. ive run few half year cycles with compounds like tren and certainly running a few grams each cycle and my bulk weight is 103kg! Progress comes slow, my thought process was if i keep adding 1 rep to my next session back when i benched 100kg surely even if it seems impossible right now. in 1-2 years when i bench 140kg-160kg like a bodybuilder and not a powerlifter for sure i'll have a big chest.

now im only 1 year repping 140kg for 10 and my chest has fucking exploded when i compare to back then. i still dont feel bigger. this is a long game and theres no easy way. what i find best to grow is high test 500mg-1g test isnt gonna hurt anyone compared to 300-400mg tren.

im just a fucking guy in his mid 20's thats fucking around tho still figuring stuff out.

Listen to malfensence, he is a old timer and been through it all. the amount of bullcrap ive read on reddit i dont even believe they train

i gained 52 pounds
lol, okay.

Yeah, definetly dont listen to the redditors thats been listening to their current favorite influencer for 6 weeks and been in the gym for 2 years that speak in absolutes, parrot what everyone else says and follow a new fad every 3 months.

Dont pay attention to those low volume or high volume or nothing obsessed, lengthened partial loving, failure fearing, calcium ion allergic broccoli heads.

Some good advice in this post.

Reddit is full of chat gpt nerds that have only been lifting for two months.
I started to gather this after I saw a few people on the steroids subreddit post pics and I look better than them at 5’8 169lbs 10%. Rarely I’ll see a physique on there that’s impressive lol. It really opened my eyes seeing threads where dudes talk like they know everything and give the idea they’re mass monsters and somebody says “pics?” And I’m bigger than majority of them! I thought I was small for a gear user lol, Reddit is ridiculous

i'm not a broccoli head redditor and don't follow "lifting" influences. you are an a**hole

@malfeasance you seem like a very knowledgeable fella. I am going to run Novolin R late into my cycle along with my HGH and it will be my first introduction to insulin.

I see many different protocols for when to dose it and wanted your input.

Meal 1 8:00

4 pieces of toast 400cal 20p
Pop tarts 360cal 3p
760cal 23p 13f 137c

Gym 9:30-11:30
Intra workout shake (carbs/ protein to match slin dose)

11:30 post workout snack
gummy bears 200cal 4p
200cal 4p 46c

Meal 2 11:45
.5lb of ground turkey 200cal 37p
5 pieces of toast 500cal 25p
700cal 62p 10f 90c

Meal 3 2:00
.5lb of ground turkey 200cal 37p
5 pieces of toast 500cal 25p
700cal 62p 10f 90c

Then I work 3-8

Meal 4 5:00
Graham crackers
585cal 9p 13.5f 107c

Meal 5 9:00
1b of ground turkey 400cal 75p
3 pieces of toast 300cal 15p
700cal 90p 14f 82c

Meal 6 10:30
Pack of graham crackers 585cal 9p 13.5f
585cal 9p 13.5f 107c

4230cal
260g protein
74g fat
633g carbs

Sorry for that long write up. That’s my updated diet and I figured it would be best to provide you with all the info before asking for advice.

Would you recommend Novolin R before my pre workout meal? 30min pre workout? Or directly pre workout? Or something else? I see many different protocols on R insulin
