The International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge announced that there may be a total of 15 positive doping cases arising from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Six athletes were disqualified during the Games; two additional athletes were disqualified based on retesting samples for CERA. Rogge believes there may be another 7 athletes who will be positive for CERA. Only three tested positive for steroids. Ukrainian heptathlete Lyudmila Blonska, Ukrainian weightlifter Igor Razoronov and Greek hurdler Fani Halkia tested positive for methyltestosterone, nandrolone and methyltrienolone, respectively.
