Moving to Florida input wanted

Thanks! The heat I can take. I used to live down south back in my military days so I know what it’s like to live there. I’ll take it. Anytime someone down there starts bitching about the heat all they need to do just take a quick trip up here and it’ll all be put back into proper perspective lightning fast LOL
I hear ya. Cabin fever is REAL. I moved from south Texas to Michigan for a minute. Heavy emphasis on minute. :D

Hot and humid is an understatement. I moved to Daytona a year ago from south Texas and the humidity here is 20x worse. I walk out of my house at 7am in july and have sweat ring on my shirt from walking to the mailbox and back. But if you can handle the summer humidity then FL is pretty awesome.

Ft. Myers is nice as my dad lived there for many years till he passed suddenly over a decade ago. Went down there to settle his affairs after he died and he owned a nice home not far from the water with his wife (my dad and my mom split up when I was a kid).

LMAO but it wasn't me caused it but maybe my younger brother (he was just 2 then) was. Just kidding as my younger brother's a hard worker and just 4 years younger than me. I always been a good boy (most of the time) :D

Daytona?
Or daytona beach shores? Ormond? Ormond by the sea? Holly Hill? NSB? Port Orange? Edgewater?

I concur, inland FL is fucking horrible.
We moved to Orlando area’ish a year ago because “someone” was worried we would get blown away by the weather.

I’m now selling the home I just paid cash for to build a place in the Naples area. I agree that if you don’t take advantage of the outdoors/ocean it’s a total waste.

We have already gotten used to the heat and humidity coming from the Midwest.

Consider that life in Northern , Western and Easten FL is totally different. Redneck influences, retirement vibe or the ... what’s the PC term? Cigar smoking Cubans/Ricans south beach type shit. It was pretty interesting spending time in Gainesville, Daytona, Palm Beach, Miami, Naples, Tampa. All so different. I don’t think you can go wrong though, what’s your cup of tea?

Edit: Anyone wanna rent a 5B 4B w/ pool outside Orlando for $2,000/month? Decided to keep the property as a rental. No hijack intended, heh, dunno wtf to do with this place.

How close to Disney or universal? People will gobble that shit up every week on VRBO. It's to damn expensive stay on their resorts.

Ocoee....
It takes me about 10-15mins @ 85-100mph to get to Disney or Universal.

It’s a somewhat large gated, suburbia type setup.

I was only half joking about asking someone to rent it here, but, hey... I’m willing.

Master bedroom and bathroom are about 1,200 sq feet.

New $4,000 TVs throughout, two bathrooms were just redone etc etc

Edit: isn’t it like $400-1,5000 / night @ Disney.
