Hey bros, specifically Swale and the others experts. My Dad has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and is confined to a joy stick powered wheelchair, thus meaning he is extremely weak and tires very quickly throughout the day. My Mother says he gets depressed sometimes--who wouldnt.
His age: 56. I have told him and my Mother that he should look into HRT since he is in his 50's and could always use the increased libido, and well-being associated with anabolic steroids (specifically testosterone).
My Question: Do you think it would be a possibility to get on HRT even though he has MS?
--Also, would he greatly benefit from the HRT in terms of well-being and over all strength increase, or at least, a maintenance of what he has left for strength?
I realize that his diminishing strenght is partially do to the myline sheath surrounding the axon degrading as MS progresses, but he is losing more and more muscle from not being able to move much.
I also understand that he needs to get a blood test to see whether or not he qualifies for HRT.
Im just looking for feedback.
Thanks much bros, this is really important to me!
