He's fairly cool about trt and hcg but won't write an "off use" script (for hcg). Really thinking about finding a new one but that's an issue for another day. My question: can anyone recomend a mail order supplier who's price and service are reputable?
Thanks,
Sd

Hypogonadism is listed on the package insert for my hCG. My insurance company first denied me full coverage for hCG because their expert pharmacist said that hCG wasn't indicated for hypogonadism. I sent them a copy of my package insert and that shut them up about that.

SWALE does not want online pharmacies (which are "charlatans"; his words, but I agree with him) listed in this forum.

The problem is I can't get past step 1. Leaving me 2 choices. Either purchase through clandestine channels or go through a legit company. Neither are optimal to be sure.

I understand. I was in the same situation and considered the same options. I was fortunate in that I tried a new physician and got my prescription.

YGM.
(Perhaps I underestimated you LOL!!)
Peace

Do a quick Google search on Navarel HCG. You can find and print the package insert to bring to your doc to prove that it's not an off-use.

Hey, thanks for that info! I was wondering how I was going to handle that element with my prescription provider (MedCo) when I finally get a chance to get onto SWALE's protocol. I'll have to remember the "package insert"!

I also noted this from MedCo's own web site:

QUOTE:
To assist in the development of secondary sex characteristics in cases of hormone deficiency.
END QUOTE

I would imagine that returning the size of one's testicles would qualify as to "assist in the development of secondary sex characteristics", no?

Phil (pmgamer18), if you see this... I believe you indicated once before that you used MedCo. Did they give you a problem with filling your script for HcG?

No Larry they did not and they sent me a 6 month supply with needles for $5.00 but they change there name to Medcohealth is this the same name you have. You can go there medcohealth.com.

Just in case someone didn't catch it the product weatherlite was referring to was Novarel hCG (not "Navarel hCG"). It' helps on the google search. :-) Thanks for the info Weatherlite, I didn't know any of the brand names for hCG.

Larry,

I would imagine that returning the size of one's testicles would qualify as to "assist in the development of secondary sex characteristics", no?

I dont think theyre referring to testicular atrophy on this. hCG is commonly used on people that have not gone through puberty and have other underdeveloped sex characteristics like micro-penis or undescended testicles and is used to induce development of these secondary characteristics in these situations. I think this is what is being referred to in that quote since that is a well-known clinical use of hCG.

Maybe theres a better quote in that insert to use that is clearly directed toward adult onset hypogonadism. Since some doctors do use hCG as sole TRT for Secondary Hypogonadism (something I dont think is appropriate from what Ive read) then perhaps there is some argument to be made to use it to treate adult onset hypogonadism. Im gonna read the insert closely.

Regardless, you might be able to convince your insurance provider based on that quote but I'm not sure about it. I'd pack some more powder in your gun if you can.
