What is up guys. I have been planning my first run with MOTS-c and wanted to run the protocol by the board before I actually start pinning. I have spent the last few weeks digging through old threads here, lurking the main peptide subreddits, and watching hours of deep-dive videos from the usual highly analytical bodybuilding YouTubers to get a solid consensus. I am definitely no expert on mitochondrial peptides, but I think I have pieced together a pretty smart way to use a single 40mg vial (which I won off a buddy in a bet).
The main issue I was trying to solve was dealing with a single massive 40mg vial. I know this stuff degrades in BAC water after about a month in the fridge, so trying to run a low 5mg per week dose for two months just means I would be pinning bunk peptide by the end of it. I also really want to avoid the notorious PIP and the severe methylation crashes I read about from guys running it every day or slamming massive doses all at once.
For weeks one and two, I am thinking of running a conservative assessment phase to test my tolerance: 2.5mg pinned SubQ twice a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays. For weeks three, four, and five, I will bump it up to the standard performance dose of 5mg twice a week, keeping the same Tuesday and Friday schedule. That uses exactly 40mg and empties the vial right at the 5-week mark before it can lose potency.
The timing is what I am being most strict about. I am only pinning on my non-lifting days. The protocol is to wake up, pin completely fasted, wait about 30 to 45 minutes, and hit some zone 2 cardio before my first meal to maximize that AMPK activation. On my actual heavy lifting days, I am skipping the peptide entirely so I can eat my normal pre-workout meals and let insulin do its anabolic job without clashing with the MOTS-c. And yes, I already have a high-quality active methylfolate supplement ready to run alongside this to keep my folate cycle from crashing.
Has anyone run a similar ramping protocol with this stuff? Did the methylfolate actually keep the lethargy and brain fog away for you, and how bad was the PIP for you guys at similar concentrations?
Let me know if you see any glaring holes in this setup before I pull the trigger.
