My Visit with HAN and Dr. Overbeck

In March 2010, researchers reported that mice with type 1 diabetes treated with leptin alone or in conjunction with insulin did better (blood sugar didn't fluctuate as much, cholesterol levels went down and they didn't form as much body fat) than mice with type 1 diabetes treated with insulin alone, raising the prospect of a new treatment for diabetes.

mice and men are not equal.....Amgen has the human data and right now type 1 DM are clearly different. Type 2 DM will be helped.

Looks like you did a good job of that ...LOL

Well Shawn..considering I have pretty much recovered my hpt axis with the use of clomid, never had the so-called "adrenal fatigue" you claimed I did, and have it narrowed down to basically my diet, you would be wrong in making that statement. I'm about done and if I would have listened to your advice on the phone 5 months ago I'd be in even more of a metabolic hell. You actually had the nerve, or stupidity, to tell me that the phytates in the oatmeal, lentils, and fiberous foods I ate were what was holding me back, and that I was undermethylating from a genetic predisposition. You can deny this, but obviously your advice would have gotten me no where..

I thought your T did not hold?

I thought your T did not hold?

I thought it didn't until I had my free and total drawn last monday. To say the least, I'm still going, and very consistant with my gains in the gym. Feeling teenagish again.
Testosterone Month after Clomid: 654.7 ng/dL Immediately after Clomid:887 (241-827)
Holding pretty steady there.

Wow, that's great. Hope that holds.

I know everybody says they have seen cases where people have gotten restarted, but I never saw anybody. And I know LOTS that have tried.

Thanks man..I've waited so long, I think I deserve for it to hold.

you mean the cause of your problems was that you were undereating?

Not undereating exactly, just eating too much clean food. I need to add calories by basically eating what I see as long as I'm listening to my body on it. If I'm craving it, I'll have it. I'm young, growing, and probably need it.

yeah thats a problem.. i also have much less hunger for healthy food than for all the sweet junk out there.. we're programmed to go for what tastes best, else we get kind of miserable. With all that salt, sugar, additives, the food tastes so good. plus its easily digested, which is a big thing. I think if someone had an optimal digestive system, after a month on healthy food he should stop craving the bad stuff. But thats just an hypothesis

I believe there is something to that. I myself have noticed that when I eat properly after a few weeks I have no desire for the sweets. I noticed this quite by accident. As a big sweets eater I was surprised by the event.

Can you ever stop loving the 'sweets' when they taste so good! One of the primary reasons, maybe the only real one, for exercising is to be able to indulge without the worry of gaining weight. Cakes - Cookies - Ice Cream - Eclairs - Cheesecake - Cinnamon Raisin Muffins - Pies (for the fruit) LOL

LOL hell no you can't. What I am refering to are cravings that overwhelm good sense. Like mid day going to the fridge for a meal and instead of say a sandwich Etc you'll eat a whole pie.

THink and picture your pie as your worst enemie (may be an ex wife, or some one you can not stand) And every time you endulge they are getting the best of you LO

Now I had one guy that used to get up in middle of night and raid the refridgerator not remember a thing. LOL
SO it can get really bad LOL

(NES) Night Eating Syndrome would suck..You don't even get to really enjoy the food, it just goes in :P

SLeep walking, but sleep eating LOL

Even better was I saw this special on this kid that kept gainig weight despite dieting and eating clean at his house. The Dr's were scratching their heads. Well he was spending all his allowance on going to places to eat inbetween school and home to and from. He even admited going through garbage cans for food. There was some rare disorder that caused this extreme appeitie and behavior which was linked to leptin and grehlin imbalnaces. So there are people that have it worse out there thats for sure. If I saw the name of the disorder I would recongize the name but it has been a while since I have seen the documentry.
