NAD+

tried to make, didn't dissolve. apparently the NAC I have is wax coated and not pure NAC, unlike the packaging and the supplier says.
Apparently some suppliers coat the powder with some kind of wax or resin to hide the smell of NAC (or so chat gpt told me).
I'll get another powder as well as reduced glutathione and try again. I was interested in NAC because it passes the Blood-Brain barrier better than Glutathione

What raws are you using?
The ones I got off bulk supp worked fine.
It's just alot more acidic than glutathione which may result in increased pip. Can be brewed at higher concentrations tho.

I've found using NAD precursors like sublingual NMN do a fine job of replenishing/topping off the pool. In my case, NAD+ injections were overkill and left me with a kind of edgy energy that didn't really translate to anything pleasant or usable.

it was supposed to be pure nac but apparently wasn't. got it off amazon. I know bulk supps is good but they got shit all for my country and crappy prices:/
I'll try glutathione directly at this point.

do you think I could brew NMN or NR injectable for higher bioavilability? on paper they should be more effective at raising intra-cellular NAD levels (I think).
I know some UGLs have injectable pre-workour with NMN in it

would be cheaper than NAD+ raws.

Also I'm confused about the difference between NAD and NAD+. From what I understand "+" should be the oxidized form and it's used because the non oxidized would have a half life of seconds to minutes in the body. So when I see NAD powder being sold, is it the oxidized or non oxidized form? since I see the 2 names (with and without the "+") being used the same way

I really don't know. I had such high hopes for the NAD+ injectable and ended up disappointed. I do wonder if an actual infusion would be different. I use Renue's NMN's, two a day, which genuinely seems to keep things full enough that I just don't get benefit from NAD+ stuff.

I hear that IV is much more effective, same goes for glutathione.
Haven't tried so just going off what I read from anecdotal experiences.
Also on paper NAD and GSH precursors should be more effective than direct NAD and GSH because supposedly they should raise intracellular and brain levels better
since GSH and NAD directly don't get in the cell or in the brain as well and mostly raise blood and plasma levels.

NAC and Glycine get inside the cell and in the brain.
NMN gets inside the cell but doesn't pass the blood brain barrier well, NR does.
