Yeah i know its a redneck "sport/trend?" but that right turn is a bitch .:D
Anyways i watched the Bud shootout last night and enjoyed it quite well and i doubt ill like the way the new points system is set up but i cant wait till this season starts. Any other racing fans out there?

BTW #8 will win it all this season

In Daytona, the 500 is called the Redneck Olympics. I heard that Thick was gonna be a fluffer for Jeff Gordon after the race.

Hey for those of you who think its a lame or a boring sport you need to take a couple laps, i did at a super speedway and it off the mother fucking hook!!!1 its a fucking rush!!! i was a passenger and there was two other cars on the track with us, i could only imagine what it must be like to be heading into the turns bumper to bumper at 180mph with 40 cars on the track..
 
It must be really hard to drive in a big circle making only left-hand turns.

Now, something like the Rolex Series or Cart is for the real men.
 
well i don't know about that bob there's something to say about going into a turn at 170 to 200 mph with quarter panels rubbing and bumpers touching when all you car wants to do it go head on into a concrete wall..

cart racing and nascar is like comparing apples to oranges.. there is a lot of cool history behind nascar..
 
Check out the Rolex series. They race like 5 or 6 different classes all at the same time. So you'll have the BMWs and Porsches at like 160 mph on the straights and the prototype-class cars hitting 240mph. Major speed differences, road racing type courses, and sweet lookin cars.
 
i like every damn motorsport i have ever witnessed...i love WRC, IRC, CART, F1, IMSA, Rolex, SCCA...shit...i can't list em all, but two wheels, four wheels, whatever...they all have their merit...i do like road racing better than nascar though....but nascar is the most available as far as coverage...saying sarcastically that it is "real hard" to go in a circle over and over is the same as saying "well, if it take steroids, i too will be a champion bodyduilder!"...just not true...there is a reason dale jr. and jeff gordon are preparing for the daytona 500 while you are sitting here typing responses about racing...they can do it, you can't...i'd be more than happy to go round and round for their paychecks, although i prefer something else...
 
that sounds like a good time. I would love to ride in one of the cars or be the driver. Watching is boring. No comments for Bobby boy. He never makes any sense on Mondays.

When I graduated HS, my dad enrolled me in the Richard Petty Driving Experience. I got to do 15 Laps at Chicago Motor Speedway in Joliet. I drove one of their cars...slightly modified-still had 500 horses and 4 manual gears, but still not as fast as the real ones. But that shit is alot harder than it looks! No bullshit. My top speed was 168 mph and man was it sweet. I had to follow a pacer that drove in front of me though...no passing. But if any of yall get a chance to do that, by all means sign up! Its a friggin blast. It is crazy how much precision engineering goes into those machines....big prop to all the nascar fans/drivers/crews! oh man, Route 66 Raceway is tits too! Seeing NHRA there for nationals at night is a fuckin show! HOOAH for motorsports.
 
hell yeah! NHRA - is the shit! my favorite motorsport..

i met john force in vegas 2 weeks ago during there practice/testing deal.. that guy is a true champ and what a great personality - hes the best thing that ever happened to the sport and yes its a sport..

YEAH Louie i agree with you! I met Force and his crew in his pits in between runs when they were tuing. hes a hell of a guy! Shelly Anderson is the shit too. My Pops and I chilled with her ever dinner at the Applebees bar. All those people are cool as hell.
 
HUGE FAN!!! never miss a M.I.S. race. my dad has some connections through CAT so i always get pit passes and hospitality tent passes when i go. not a big fan of ward but he's gone anyway. earnhardt sr was my fave now its jr. also like waltrip and rusty.

i predict #8 or #24 will win it all. dale is bound to win it soon and jeff is one of the best drivers out there and had a bad finish last year (for him)
